My favorite chicken ceasar salad
About this Cook
I have always had a passion for cooking, but have not been interested in a career because I fear becoming "burned out" I am always trying new recipes and my husband also loves cooking as well so we jive really good in the kitchen. I also love to eat just as much as I love to cook, and right now my favorite genre is italian, though I am partial to everything.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook is everything, if you give me a recipe I will persue it. I enjoy italian food so much and the fact that my son cleans his plate when I make it is also a big plus. When I ask him what he wants to eat for dinner he says "White pasta", which is my homeade chicken alfredo.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom is such a wonderful cook and I wish I knew all of her "secret" recipes. She can cook cajun food like nobody's business and I wish I was as good as her. It is hard to coose my most favorite food she cooks so I would have to make it a tie between her buscuits and tomato gravy and her baked BBQ chicken.
My cooking triumphs
My biggest triumph was perfecting gravy from scratch. I know it sounds easy but it was my most difficult task.
My cooking tragedies
One day I was so excited I had gone and gotten a new baking dish with a plastic lid for traveling. So I decided to break in my new dish by making baked BBQ chicken and when it was done I put the plastic lid on it and placed it back in the oven to keep it warm. A few minutes later I smelled something funny and that's when I realized I had forgotten to turn the oven off and had melted plastic all over my scrumptious chicken.
