Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
These were a big hit with my 1 yr old. I subbed apple sauce for the oil, and used mini chocolate chips in place of the dates. Also added a bit of cinnamon.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
Following other reviews, I tossed the sausages and bacon in a bowl of brown sugar prior to putting them together. Refrigerated overnight and sprinkled additional brown sugar on top before baking. I put an old cookie cooling rack inside of a lined pan to allow the fat to drain and also turned them half way through cooking so the bacon would crisp on both sides. Took these to a Halloween party and they were gone in less than 30 minutes.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
can't believe how easy and delicious this was! threw a frozen 3 lb boneless pork loin along w/ the beef broth in the crock pot on low before bed. shredded it the next morning and continued cooking on low. served for lunch straight from the crock pot and let people add their own bbq sauce. made 10 big sandwiches and it was so good! will be making this again and again!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
this cake was awesome!! followed the recipe exactly and it was a big hit at our party. I didn't have time to wait the recommended 1.5hrs to cool the cake before plating it. I flipped it onto a plate after approx 5min while it was still hot and it held together perfectly. I actually think it was better this way because it was still warm and the choc chips were melted and gooey. Served immediately with ice cream and it was incredible!!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
Made a few changes, and it turned out great! Here's what I did: Used 1.5 lb chicken, 1 bag egg noodles, and a 1 lb bag frozen broccoli. Cooked all 3, mixed together and seasoned it well with garlic salt, pepper, onion powder and a little red pepper flakes. Used reduced fat soups and sour cream. Topped it with Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Stuffing. The end result was fantastic, and it was so easy. This is a versatile recipe that could be changed with whatever you have on hand. Definitely going into the dinner rotation, thanks for the recipe!

these are really great and easy to throw together. the only changes i made were to add 1 tsp of cinnamon, and i used whole wheat flour. would also be good with just about anything in place of the choc chips. will definiely make again!

Oatmeal Waffles

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
These were really good! More of a rustic waffle, they made me think of something we would eat while camping. The oats added a wonderful texture. I only had whole wheat flour on hand, and once I started putting ingredients together realized I had no baking powder! Decided to press on without it thinking they'd be a flop, but they held up perfectly and were delicious!

Gooey Butter Cake II

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
This was way too sweet for me. If I were to make it again I'd cut out some of the confectioners sugar. Also, I only had an 8x11 pan and it was too thick and didn't set up well. Definitely use a 9x13.

Easy Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
Really tasty and easy to make. Even my 8 yr. old who insisted he hates meatloaf ended up loving it. I used half ground turkey and half ground beef and it was great. Don't worry if your mixture seems really soggy before baking. It turns out fine once it's done.
