Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

simply amazing!!! i couldn't find the cayenne, so that was omitted, and i cooked it on low for 10 hours. also, i like it really thick so towards the end i mixed up some corn starch with water and got the consistency i liked. i served each bowl with a dollop of sour cream and salsa and fresh cut cilantro and my family LOVED it!!!

Melt In Your Mouth Toffee

the first time i made this the butter didn't totally incorporate, but it tasted great. the second batch performed as promise and was amazing. i will definitely make this again!

Award Winning Chili

it was okay, but it wasn't spicy at all! i added much more crushed red pepper and still no fire. also, the family HATED the carrots. i'm not sure if i'd make this again. it tasted good, but i guess it wasn't the kind of chili i was expecting.

Midwest Brisket

this is a great recipe! i realized i didn't have any garlic salt for the marinade, so i chopped up some fresh garlic and it worked just as well... the house smelled so good the whole time it was cooking...it reminded me and my family of grandma's great (lost) brisket recipe. i will definitely make this again, though i might cut the cooking time by 45min to an hour as i was hoping it would be moister, but all in all it was fabulous!
