If you go back to 2003 and read reviews, there is someone who didn't like this recipe because she used Coors Light and then said she didn't think the Coors Light could be the only reason it didn't taste good! That still makes me laugh. I got this recipe 2 years ago and have been making it ever since. We love it. I gave it 4 stars because the recipe says to cover it with brown sugar, but in the crock pot, the sugar always comes off the meat and dissovles into the beer. Is this coating supposed to form a crust? Why not just put brown sugar in the beer? Why get messy with patting the sugar onto the beef or am I missing something? Although I would LOVE an answer, it doesn't matter - my entire family (and yes, we are Irish by heritage, but that makes me laugh as well) loved it.
