Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
Excellent. This was my first time making a chicken pot pie, so it took longer than the 20 minute prep time. More like an hour prep with a toddler in the kitchen also. I didn't have celery seed and used 2 cups frozen mixed vegetable just adding them to the chicken after the chicken had cooked. The veggies had enough time to cook in the pie. I also pre-baked my bottom crust for about 6 minutes in about 400 degree oven. I used a pre-made pie crust for it. Other change I made was used seasoned salt instead of the regular salt. I used all the same amounts that were called for in the recipe. It tasted great, i was really surprised because chicken pot pie is not a huge favorite, I just made it for my husband. But I brought leftovers for lunch today!

I haven't made fried rice before and i had some left over cooked white rice from takeout the night before. It was really easy and tasted great. Made it exactly as stated.

Sugared Rhubarb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
Great recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and it made 16 standard size muffins. The 1 cup of rhubarb was distributed all through 14 of the muffins, so I had to add a little bit to the last 2 muffins. I used frozen rhubarb and it worked great.

Broccoli Sausage Breakfast Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I baked mine about 10 minutes longer, otherwise great basic recipe. I didn't use her exact ingredients except for the egg mixture. I used some kielbasa sausage cut up (you know that precooked stuff), leftover corn, and sauted some mushrooms before hand and put them in. I layered it in this order; sausage, corn, mushrooms, cheese, then egg mixture on top. 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Nutty Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
Tastes real good. Just used some frozen apples I had. Made this twice already. The second time I set the oven to 375 and baked for 30 minutes. Turned out good and the walnut were toasty.

Basil Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
Great recipe. I found this recipe about 2 years ago and still make it on a regular basis. I add mushrooms to the garlic and chicken (or sometimes saute beforehand). My husband and I like more sauce, so I double the cream and parmasean or just make less pasta.

Crab and Mushroom Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2003
I liked the simplicity of this recipe. I modified it a little because of the things I had on hand. I had some green enchilada sauce and some mild salsa that I mixed and used instead of the red enchilada sauce. I only used about 2/3 of the cream of mushroom soup and 1-6.5 oz can of sliced mushrooms. It's very good, easy and quick.
