Overnight Asparagus Mushroom Strata
Made this for a brunch for my in-laws. I chose the recipe carefully based on their dislikes and this one backfired on me! I've never made it before in my life. I know, I know--never try a dish for the first time on others without trying it first. You see, I wasn't trying to impress them. They think I don't cook (well) and I wanted to keep it that way! They are a foodie bunch (own restaurants & catering) and I didn't want to be expected to brings things to family gatherings. Everyone always brings something (there are 9 brothers/sisters & all have reproduced) so I always feel like there is enough food--good food, why should I make/take too? Well..............thanks a lot because this was FANTASTIC & now I'm expected to make & bring it for breakfast/brunch occasions! They LOVED it! I made a double for the large crowd and it still wasn't enough (even though there was tons of other food). My SIL who claims to hate asparagus had seconds telling me how good the "green bean quiche" was. When I told her it was asparagus, she had another bite to be sure then asked for the recipe. My BIL hates mushrooms also loved it totally missing the mushrooms! Don't try this dish if you're trying to make something people won't eat and/or make them think you have no cooking ability. You'll wind up in the same boat I am: stuck making & taking because people love it!! Again, thanks a lot!! ;)

Pretty darn good! Yah, yah too much butter----gotta splurge sometime, might as well be with this!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
Taste was great but I forgot salt because I followed the worded directions & didn't review the ingredients until it was too late. I agree too much butter as I didn't get crumbs like I usually do. And oh yes; what a mess!!! Don't fill to the top even if you forget salt! Again, great taste.
