Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2007
This was good but I wasn't completely blown away by it. Honestly, though, maybe I am not nuts about pot roast so I'll give this 4 stars. Not sweet at all though, like others claimed and maybe that was bc I used diet dr pepper.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

These were fun and pretty good. We have someone allergic to nuts so we used hot tamales instead of almonds. It was cute and a big hit, esp with the kiddos

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
LOVED IT! This is a keeper. The only suggestion that I have is to use diced tomatoes rather than the whole. I served it with avocado, lime tortilla chips, lime wedges, cheese. I wish I would have had black olives like others suggested-that would have been great. Next time.

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
This really is awesome cornbread. I had to substitute a small amount of brown sugar because I ran out of sugar the first time I made it and liked it better. I used a couple Tbsp of brown and cut the overall sugar down.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2005
This has become one of the regular dishes in my household. It's really tasty and easy to make and it leaves a ton of leftovers for the week, and it tastes better each day. I also sub fat free sour cream and ground turkey which works great. I also add turkey sausage sometimes for a kick.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2005
I have made this several times now. It's super easy and everyone always wants to know how I made them. I also sub fat free butter spray (I cant believe its not butter) for reg butter. No difference and less time working it off on the stairmaster.

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Good but a little on the salty side. I used some Italian sausage which might have made it more salty but I was surprised by how much.

Yummy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2005
This is a fantastic recipe because it literally took 2 minutes to prep and my chops were thinner so they cooked in 10 minutes. Very tasty. I also used fat free Italian dressing and low sodium soy.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
This was great. I didn't let the sauce thicken up because I was inpatient but it still turned out good. It definitely would have been better if the sauce was thicker so I will make it correctly next time!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
Very Good! I screwed up and accidentally picked up sauce instead of juice (even though it is clearly underlined) and instead I used whole and stewed tomatoes which I think I preffered anyway. I also used some turkey sausage with ground turkey and it was awesome. Lots of compliments from the family.

Cocktail Meatballs III

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
I made this for an Oscar party last night and it was such a hit. People were raving about them all night and I had to send the recipe off to a few people this morning. I also substituted the half and half for sour cream since I didn't have any and it worked great. I also used some leftover ground turkey for some of the meatballs and they were good too.
