Strawberry Fields

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2014
Delicious! I made this with grilled chicken from my grill pan and added a few blueberries and goat cheese (instead of feta) and it was soooooooo good! I wasn't sure about the dressing but with the contrast of the onion and the cheese, it was perfect. I took the suggestion of the other reviewers and cut the sugar and honey in half and i found it too bitter. I used half the suggestion amount and a pinch more but not the total amount. I also changed my serving size to 3 instead of 6, so it says 2 tablespoons of sugar i used 1 and half a tablespoons. (hope that isn't too confusing) Oh! I also bought Chevre cranberry infused goat cheese...i highly suggest that. Great recipe though!

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2014
Delicious!!! The only changes I made was I sautéed half a bag of spinach with about a clove of minced garlic, I added a tsp of garlic powder to cottage cheese mixture..used the small curd cheese and I used the "best marinara sauce" recipe from this site. I also cooked up some lean ground beef and let it simmer in the sauce and that's what I topped it with after I placed the plain sauce on the bottom. My boyfriend who is so picky loved it!!! Don't swap out cottage cheese for ricotta...the cottage cheese is much better!

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
This was such a great dish!! I used Newmans own sauce and it actually is naturally rather light and not salty so it gave me the freedom to add salt to taste. I also doubled the Romano and didn't chop the mushrooms...gives a better presentation!

Chicken Tacos

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
I would give this 5 stars, but I kind of altered this recipe more than normal so I will give it 4. I don't know how it would taste as is..but I think Worchestershire sauce is gross soooooo..... I used a about a teaspoon of Mccormick taco seasonsing instead...I mixed that, the lemonade (I used that Simply Lemonade) lime juice, the taco seasoning, garlic power, onion powder, olive oil and about a teaspoon of sugar. I marinated the chicken with this for about 30 minutes then put it all in pan and simmered down until it was cooked. On a side note...I sauteed mushrooms with a little garlic salt, olive oil and a little whipped butter to serve with it and my boyfriend literally ate 3 tacos and all the mushrooms before I even sat down with mine. Hope this helps and enjoy!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
My boyfriend loved these! For sure double the recipe..one user said use 3 eggs instead of 4..I cant' comment on that but i'm sure either way they would turn out great. I didn't have honey so I didn't use it in the frosting recipe..but the frosting is very sweet I can't imagine how sweet the honey would make it. I would just use a little milk to make it more creamy. Dont cook over 25 minutes. IF you have an all mighty new or high powered oven just cook 23. Hope that helps!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
Great sugar cookie recipe!!! Only cook 8 minutes as suggested by other users unless you like them crispy...if you have a newer oven or a one that typically over cooks I would only do 7. I would also add a little more vanilla extra and put in the refrigerator for literally maybe 10 or 15 minutes..just helps the cookies ball up a little easier, oh and roll them in sugar for an extra yummy touch.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
This is a great icing! Extremely easy to make and mixes very well...I used 1/2 tsp vanilla extra instead of 1/4..and I wouldn't suggest doing that again. lol Makes it a tad too sweet for my taste but if your receiving party has a big sweet tooth I would def suggest it!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2013
Awesome!! I added half a cup of Reese's peanut butter chips though!! I only baked them for about 10 minutes though for the almost uncooked chewy texture my guy loves!! I got the "they are as good as my moms" seal of approval. :)
