I loved this dish! After reading other reviews, I seasoned the chicken with garlic powder, salt (lightly), and poultry seasoning. I did not have any chicken broth, so I used water. I also did not have chicken breasts, so I used chicken legs and chicken thighs (with the bones and skin) and omitted the butter. I removed the bones and skin and shredded the chicken after cooking on low for 8 hours. I used the Bisquick dumpling recipe instead of refrigerated biscuits and cooked for an additional hour and a half. Not only did this dish look wonderful, but it was very tasty. I will definitely make this again, but will probably omit the salt in my seasoning next time! It was a huge hit with my family.
