Sausage Sauerkraut Supper

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
My hubby is a huge fan of sauerkraut so he loved this recipe. Next time I will be sure to rinse the sauerkraut better as I had a little to much liquid and I also will put the kraut on top so the flavour really sinks into the sausages. Oh and this makes enough to feed a small army so beware I have a enormous crock pot and it was full to the very top.

Honey Curried Roasted Chicken and Vegetables

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
I roasted my veggies in a separate small roaster with some garlic, salt and pepper, and a splash of chicken stock @ 400 for about 40 minutes give or take. I just poured half the curry sauce over each about 10-15 minutes before the chicken was finished. The chicken was moist, juicy and tender. Ummmm good. There will def be a next time although I want to add a little coconut milk to the sauce. MMMMMMMM good

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
I made this twice once with all whole wheat and once as written. Both turned out well however the all whole wheat was a bit hard to roll out but I managed. The texture and taste were good. My two year old actually ate more of the crust than the toppings. I think I will stick with my reg Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough from this site..I think the honey makes all the difference. However I will use this one for pizza bread dipped in meat sauce. Thank you for posting.

Favorite Banana Blueberry Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
As always I changed everything in this recipe and it still was delicious. Doubled blueberries, used 1 cup flour (didn't have whole wheat) 1/2 cups ground flax, almonds, sprinkle cinnamon, dash vanilla, two small single containers of applesause rather than shortening and Splenda white. I made mini muffins 350 for 10 minutes. They had a yummy nutty flavour to them next time I will try 1/2 white Splenda, 1/2 Brown Splenda, and add another few banana's. I can only imagine how wonderful the origianl recipe is. Thanx for sharing. This is a keeper:)

Fluffy Cake Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
This is the EXACT same recipe that came with my mini donut pan the only differencr was 2 TBSP butter melted. I tried that one 3 times and I wasn't to impressed with the results. So I played around with this one. 1 and 3/4 cup flour (no subs, I tried) 3 eggs, 2TBSP butter melted. I skipped the icing and brushed mine with melted buter and dipped in cinnamon sugar. With these changes my donuts were much better. If your expecting a light airy donut then you better go to Timmies as these are not that..more of a homemade bun texture. Best eaten when hot from the oven.

Sauteed Apples

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2010
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! What more can I say? I used two Granny Smith apples, low fat margarine, BS Splenda, and doubled the water and cornstarch. Served this overtop steel cut oats and was delicious. This is a great super easy recipe. I'm curious to see what would happen if I omitted the spice and tried it with different fruit?? Thanx so much for sharing. Def going to the "kepper" box:)

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
I made these with whole wheat flour and they turned out okay...with white they would have been MARVELOUS! I have said before that nutmeg can make or break a recipe..don't change the amount on this one its perfect. I also would half the cinnamon sugar as it yields a massive amount waaay more than you need for this recipe. I'm gonna try this next time with pumpkin pie spice, white chips, and some cream to moisten the batter a little. Guess we'll see what happens. Thanx for sharing.

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
Nice and rich hot cocoa. This would be awesome in the winter months by the fire. I made mine with Splenda, skim milk and used twice the hot water asked for. Seeing as this was low fat sugar free it came out great. I can just imagine how delicious the original recipe would be. thanx for sharing

I followed this recipe almost exactly besides skipping the cliantro and adding a clove of crushed garlic and some green onion. This turned out great and I haven't even let it marinate yet! This will go awesome along side some grilled chicken breasts. Thanx for sharing.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
This is a fantastic recipe. Kudos to the one who thought of a pretzel crust! I brought this to my gramma in-laws for Easter dinner and it was a huge hit. I to decreased the hot water and used berry juce to make up for it. The only thing I would change is adding a little more sugar, other than that its perfect. Thanx for taking the time to share this.
