Simple Egg Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2013
I followed the directions as listed and while I enjoyed it cannot say that it was the best. Was easy, simple and fresh.

Sweetened Whipped Cream

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
Super Yummy! Chilled bowl and beaters as recommended and turned out great. Will never buy whipped cream again now that I have this recipe. Used it on top of a slice of homemade Peaches and Cream Bread. Look forward to trying it on other tastey treats.

Cantonese Dinner

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
eh. served it to three people. One liked. Another said they could eat it but probably wouln't request a remake. I personally have had better dishes with same ingredients and do not see myself making this again.

Easy Teriyaki Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2012
I made this with the only change being I cooked it in the oven as suggested by another member. I liked it enough to try and modify it to be better. Wasn't the best but definitely has potential.

Pat's Mushroom Saute

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
The only change I made to the recipe was that I used rice vinegar instead of balsamic (as I did not have any on hand at the time). I also used both white button mushrooms and baby portabello (4 mushrooms each) as I was only feeding 2 people not 4. I sauted it for 15 minutes as recommended in one of the reviews. The dish was a hit and got two thumbs up from everyone. Will definitely be keeping this recipe to use again.

Curried Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
I am not a big spice fan and while I enjoy the milder curries this one was just a bit too strong for me. While I will more than likely not make this again (or will make a alternate version instead) I would recommend this to my more adventurous friends who have stronger taste buds and can handle it's kick.

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
I did the recipe as directed and while I did like the flavour, I too found the bottoms of the pork chops to be mushy/soggy. I believe this to be because of the amount of melted butter that sat on the bottom of the dish didn't allow it to bake crisp on the bottom. Other than that tastey and would try again with some experimentation to fix the soggy bottom issue.

Fruit Sherbet

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
I followed the recipe as written and found that while it tasted sweet and good, it took more than 4 hours to set. I checked it at the 4 hour mark and found it seperated and not set, mushy. So I mixed it again and put it back in the freezer to set overnight. The next day it was set and I was able to serve it. I believe it would be great for use in one of those sherbet punches with ginger ale.

Southern Dirty Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
I tried this recipe, the only difference that I made was that I used butter instead of oil and added some shredded carrot to it and used the serving converter to make it for 2 servings. It turned out delicious, not too spicey, and will definitely be doing this recipe again in the future.
