Mom's Curried Fruit

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Fixed this for breakfast brunch and even the men were complimentary. Added a little cinnamon & nutmeg and would be good with brandy. A definate keeper.

Caper Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I am not much of a chicken fan and was looking for an easy recipe to serve 20+ women at a bunko luncheon party. This was amazing. Be sure to add the artichokes about half way through and sprinkle on some parmesan cheese. Fans of chicken picata will love this.

Just fixed this for lunch with mellon on the side and a tomato, cucumber, artichoke, onion salad. Good enough for party fare.

Beefy Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
Very Good. Didn't add the honey. The only tomatoes I had were canned tomatoes/okra/corn which really added to it.Also added some Chili Pepper and salsato make it more "Spanish". Has a lot of possibilities

Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
These tasted OK, but what a mess. They stuck to the paper liners and I even sprayed them first.

Beef Stew II

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2005
My good friend is a wonderful cook and caterer. Her husband said that this was the best beef stew he has ever had which is quite a compliment. Tweeked it a little by chopping up everything in small cubes, addded 2 potatoes,a little cumin, rosemary and parsley, can of diced tomatoes, 1 T. soy, das of hot sauce, frozen peas, didn't have burgandy so used cooking cherry and added frozen peas at the end. Also used half beef broth as the liquid and a pack of onion soup mix.

Chocolate Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2004
We are chocolate lovers and the buttermilk really gives this cake a special taste. Came out of the pan like a dream. Served it to my gourmet group with chopped strawberries and chocolate syrup. Definately a keeper!

Cranberry Sauce Extraordinaire

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2003
My good friend is a wonderful southern cook and this recipe received her high marks. I thought I was buying oranges and instead bought small grapefuit and used it anyway. It would be great canned and given as Christmas gifts. More of a chutney than plain old cranberry sauce. I added Amaretto to give it a little kick.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: May 18, 2003
Yes they are fall-off the bone tender, but the sauce runs off with the greast. What a terrible thing to do to baby back ribs. I should have just fixed a pork roast.
