About this Cook
Love cooking and trying new foods and experimenting. I started dating my boyfriend who is a chef at a nice organic restaurant so our love of food and cooking is something we do together. I have been a server for years so I have always been around food.
My favorite things to cook
Really like to bake, but just started really getting into cooking. I make some killer veggie lasagna and enchilada casserole. I like to focus on heathy cooking because fitness and staying heathy is very important to me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My whole family loves to cook... including my dad. Grandmother was a amazing baker so I did that alot with her while she was here. Growing up we sat down to family dinner around the table each night and enjoyed amazing food with each others company.
My cooking triumphs
Growing up I always entered our town's fair with some food/bread entry. Baked my grandmother's chocolate mashed potato bread and won best in show :)
My cooking tragedies
lol there has been a few :)

Potato Pancakes I
This was a yummy easy alternative side dish to go with my baked salmon. I did add some extras like garlic and some extra flour to make it not as runny.

Stuffed Jalapeno Firecrackers
I made these as a starter for a mexican themed party and my friends loved them!!! The cream cheese cuts the spice and makes it sooo creamy. I put some dried onions in the cream cheese filling before wrapping them with bacon.... it is a fun recipes that you can customized and put whatever you want in the filling. double yum

Sloppy Joes II
Awesome sloppy joe recipe.... I really like to switch out the meat as well, ground boar makes awesome in sloppy joes especially when you put it in the crockpot. Remember to throw the veggies in the frying pan prior to the crock pot for that browned color and caramelization. double yum.
