Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
My husband who is not a big biscotti fan loves these. I didn't have pistachios so I used slivered almonds. These are nothing short of fantastic!

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
Fantastic holiday bread. I used about a Tbs and a 1/2 of orange zest for the bread plus a tsp of orange extract and because I didn't have any clear vanilla extract for the glaze, I used almond extract. It was perfect!

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
My husband who prides himself a "macaroon conniseur" said they were the best macaroons he's ever had. I can't believe how easy they were to make! I used fat free sweetened condensed milk and 1 teaspoon each of vanilla and almond extract. I used my mini scooper to make (approx) golf ball sized cookies and baked them for about 20 min. These are going to become a regular in my family.

Sicilian Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
I can't believe more people haven't tried this. It's like a hidden secret. It has become a regular in my family. My husband (who's an avid health, nutrition, and fitness advocate and an Italian) eats it by the spoonful. I ALWAYS have to double it because it goes so fast. You can add more garlic if you love garlic (like we do) or less garlic if you're a light weight. There have been times when I forgot or didn't have certain ingredients like - parsley, or Olive oil. It was still fantastic! You can adjust this recipe to your likes and I don't think you can go wrong. I think it's also a perfect main course recipe for vegans and vegetarians. Thank you Linda for sharing your recipe!

Buttermilk Bread II

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
Fabulous! I just made the bread today and the house smelled great! This is definitely going to be a staple in our house. I followed the recipe exactly. Next time I may try honey in place of the sugar.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2012
I just made these. They were fantastic! I added 2 chopped apples (that I had to get rid of) to the dry ingred. and 2 over ripe bananas (I whipped up in the blender with the wet ingredients). The last few pancakes I added Choc. chips. What a great way to use up the apples and bananas on your counter. Thanks for the recipe!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
I've been making these pancakes pretty regularly for about two years. I know the recipe by heart. I've tried other pancake recipes which are really good, but, these buttermilk pancakes are always the winner. They're light and fluffy with a great taste. Even with a family of six, I'll have a few left over. My kids will fight over the leftover pancakes to see who gets them the next morning for breakfast.

Cottage Cheese Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
I've had my bread machine for over three years and I've yet to make a decent tasting bread. Nothing comes close to my grandma's homemade bread. Thank you Dara for the recipe. This bread was by far the best I've ever tasted. I had a little over a cup of ricotta cheese to get rid of so I used that in place of the cottage cheese plus about three heaping Tablespoons of ground flax seeds. It was so light and fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. I just made a loaf about an hour ago and already it's gone. I am definitely making this again - most likely tomorrow.

Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: May 3, 2013
I have never made crepes before in my life. I never attempted it because I always thought they were too difficult to make. I had a bunch of strawberries that were going to go bad and after reading the reviews on this I thought I'd give it a try. I used three XL eggs (instead of the four) a 1/2 tsp. of almond extract and some cinnamon. They were phenomenal! Thank you ANN57 for such a great recipe. I just hope it hasn't gone to my head.
