I hate to say that I was kind of disappointed in this recipe. I made it a few times,really wanting a flaky,tasteful biscuit. But every time they came out "dense",and the flavor was left wanting. I followed the recipe to the exact word and the last time I finally used buttermilk-same results each time. They still looked pretty,just really not what I read from all the other reviews. I used all shortening as the recipe called for and not butter as I am usually accustomed to using. Maybe that was what was missing? I submitted a picture anyway,because like I said they did look pretty to me.
