Garlic Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Very tasty. We quadrupled the sauce and still could have used a little bit more for 4 servings. Doubled shellfish by adding 3/4 lb. scallops.

London Broil

Reviewed: May 23, 2013
My family loved it. After making it, I wondered why I don't make London Broil more often. So easy. Marinated for 4 hours but definitely cooked it for longer than 5 minutes to a side as I wanted the inner temp. to get to the minimum of 120. Served with a garden salad and delicious Amish farm grown corn on the cob. HELLO summer !!!

Excellent. Thumbs up from the whole family, even the picky anti-pepper people. Would make it again. Added chicken as well.

Curried Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
Love this soup !!! Didn't have cumin so I substituted coriander. When it was time to add pumpkin puree, I only had pumpkin pie mix puree so I tried it. Definitely a winner. Added a generous dollop of sour cream and YUMMMMM. When puree-ing, make sure to do it in very small batches to achieve a thick and smooth consistency.

Korean Spicy Chicken and Potato (Tak Toritang)

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2012
Soooooooooooooo Goooooooooooood !!!!!! Amazingly easy and very flexible. Used leftover shredded chicken & leftover quartered roasted potatoes. Also added chopped celery, a bell pepper and 2 hungarian wax peppers (for a little heat since I don't have pepper paste and my husband isn't keen on really spicy stuff). Next time I'll increase the soy/water/sugar so I have more juice. Will make again, and again, and again..... Thank you Sarakyong !

Zippy Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
Personally I really liked it but the kids and husband just give it a 3. Didn't have a variety of squash so I used all winter squash. Also substituted curry for crushed red peppers. I would have liked the extra kick but would definitely use the curry again or even chinese spice blend. Prep took much longer than 5 min (20?) since squash also needs to be peeled, shrimp peeled, deveined. Maybe I'm just slow.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
Is wine a substitute for milk? The directions don't reflect that. Giving you 5 stars because I'd hate to ruin your ratings because it sounds yummy.

Man-Lovin' Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
OH MY GOODNESS !!! Yum, Yum. My son tasted it before it even went in the oven and suggested using it as a potato salad recipe. Good call !! Would add chopped celery for that. Also great w/out potatoes for a chip dip and it hardly takes any time to meld flavors. Thanks

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
Used baking potatoes and halved the recipe and it ended up being dry (did I do something wrong?). Added the other half of can of soup and an additional cup of water to the reheated portion and it was much creamier...almost like soup.

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
As per recipe and a few dashes of ground peppercorns, my family loved it. Good comfort food. Did use boneless thighs instead of breasts and meat was very tender and tasty. Will try next time with suggestions of spices from other members.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
The BEST ever. Prepared by my 14-year-old daughter for a school project, it was complimented by all at table, even an older Italian lady !! She chose not to include sausage, because she doesn't like it, and she also used a prepared sauce, but added prepared italian seasoning, fresh parsley, fresh basil and the sugar. This will forever be our lasagna recipe !! Also...it was perfectly moist throughout with no extra sauce needed ! She did add she would like to add more ricotta cheese next time.

Will never used the prepared canned stuff again. However, I made it even easier by using canned beans. I used what I had on hand..kidney and canellini.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
Everyone in the family loved it. So moist, the muffins sat in the pan uncovered for 3 days and they're still good. I would add chopped nuts to the recipe and either sprinkle on top or add to the batter. Thanks for the recipe
