Polynesian Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2006
I was highly disappointed with this recipe, and I followed it to a T. There's something off about the instructions - the marinade isnt actually a marinade, but a watery mix of seasonings, pineapple, etc. Then you're supposed to pour it all into a skillet and cook it. Well, the sauce/marinade doesnt evaporate well, and the chicken surely doesnt brown, and adding cornstarch doesnt help much. I think the recipe provider should take a hard look and make sure this is correct.

Sausage Potato Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
I made this recipe as-is except I used frozen diced potatoes. It came out fantastic. I too, was skeptical about the vegetable soup, but some how it worked. My husbanded raved about it too. This is definitely a keeper!

Cran-Dandy Cooler

Excellent and easy to make. I don't normally like cranberry juice, but I gave it a shot and it turned out good - more sweet than tart.

Lemon Supreme Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
I made this pie for Easter and wow! it was great! I used a Nilla Wafer crust, and the combo worked really well. I was scared the lemon sauce would be too runny like the other readers mentioned, so when I added the lemon juice, I stirred the mixture a few times and poured off the excess juice before letting it cool. It came out perfect! I will make this one again for sure.

New Year's Day Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Simple and delicious. I cheated and used two cans of black eyed peas instead of the fresh, and used beef brith instead of water. I threw everything into a pot and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Came out perfect!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs I

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2005
I didnt care for this at all. The jelly made it too sweet, even though it was also spicy. Also the recipe called for too much onion.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2004
Wow! I made this recipe last night and it turned out great. I was a little skeptical about pouring the sauce through the latice instead of directly on the apples, but everything tuned out perfect! And, this was super easy!
