Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2015
the marinade is excellent. I followed some of the other reviews and doubled the sauce, crushed the garlic when I added it to the marinade and added more veggies like: zucchini, yellow pepper, red onion and cherry tomatoes. After I had skewered all we needed, I still had some chicken chunks and veggies leftover so I stir fried the chicken in a bit of sesame oil, then removed the meat and stir fried the veggies. I added the meat back in to heat them all up together and added a bit of the marinade which I had thickened. Scrumptious!! I just might make it this way next time and skip the kabobs...

Merry Cherry Dessert

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2015
If you're looking for an impressive dessert this is it! it looks like you've spent the day in the kitchen, but it isn't difficult at all, you just need to plan ahead a little bit. I took this dessert to a church dinner last Christmas and it was gone before I got to have any! This is a crowd favorite for sure! If you make your angel food cake a day in advance, it's ready to be included in this dessert.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2015
great recipe! My hubby doesn't like stew usually, but loved this recipe. I put it altogether in my crockpot before I left for work and it was ready when I got back 8 hours later (on low). Otherwise, my changes were minor, I added a little bit of salt as I too did not use boullion. My husband is diabetic so I used a sweet potato instead of a regular white or red potato, but it was perfect! I'll be using this recipe often.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2014
Delicious! I made according to directions adding 1/2 salsa instead of tomato sauce plus a liberal sprinkle of taco seasoning. I served this as a side dish to the Salsa Chicken found on this site. My hubby thought he was in heaven! Thank you.

Delicious! I didn't have a any Asiago cheese, but it was good with a Mexican blend of Monterey Jack, cheddar, Quest Quesadilla and Asadero cheese. They're were no leftovers anyway!

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
Delicious! Made it for our company who completely devoured the cake. Caution should be used to not over mix it as the longer you mix it, even by hand, the more flaky the cake becomes and I was aiming for a slightly denser cake. Very good, I will definitely make this one again!

Steak Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
It was a little bland, which I'd read more of the reviews before I made it. Next time I will add some worchestershire sauce to give it a little more flavour.

Raspberry Angel Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
they ate the WHOLE cake! I forgot to add the flavorings...but it was still delicious. I put the whole box of jellow powder in the remaining 1/3 of the cake batter and cut it through the batter already in the pan, it was easy and looked beautiful. Only one word of advice: DON'T peek in the oven while the cake is baking! My cake fell, because I couldn't resist the urge to peek. I also used the Raspberry Sauce recipe from this site (very good I might add) and topped it with a bit of whipped cream. It was not only delicious, but looked pretty too. :-)

Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
delicious and easy to make. I skipped the 3rd step as others have done and it was very tasty. I used frozen raspberries and only added 1/4 c of sugar. The raspberries were from our garden so maybe that's why it was extra yummy?! ;-) will definitely make again.

My Best Clam Chowder

definitely a favorite. I followed the advice with other about adding the bacon, but it wasn't until I added the vinegar that the chowder came alive. Even my husband loved it and he's a picky eater!

Chocolate Gingerbread Trifle

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
very good, at least it must have been. I took it to a potluck dinner and only got to take my share from scraping the bowl! I was a little unsure if I had enough gingerbread mix, but it worked out just right.

Amish White Bread

my husbands favorite bread recipe. Easy to make and very tasty. I let it rise in a slightly warmed oven and it rises quickly. It rises faster than the recipe states, so don't forget it in there!
