Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2012
I had never made apple pie before, but this was super easy to make and turned out wonderful! I my husband and I nearly finished it off before the night was over. I took a lot of people's advice on this one and added 1tbs vanilla, 1tsp allspice and cinnamon to the butter/sugar mix, used a little less water and brushed egg whites on the bottom crust so it wouldn't get soggy. I also added most of the syrup directly to the apples and poured the rest over the crust. I will be making this again for thanksgiving!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
I did what "mommyfromseattle" did and adjusted the recipe a little and it came out great. I could eat the whole loaf by myself!I did 2 1/2 cups zucchini and 1/2 cup oil 1/2 cup applesauce. I also split the sugar up and did 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar. Even better on the second day!
