Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Yummmmmm. And easy! I had that crappy 5-minute rice on hand so I used less broth, because it took much less time for the rice to get al dente. I added about a cup at a time instead of a 1/2 cup, probably totaling 3 cups. This would have been better with pretty much ANY grain, no doubt, but it was great even with the stuff I used. I will be making this again and again and again!

Long Soup

I put my own spin on this excellent recipe. I omitted the noodles, added a ton of garlic and yellow onions and carrot slivers, more soy sauce and i used ginger powder, because that's what I had. I sauteed all the vegetables except the carrot before putting them in the stock--this gave them extra flavor. If I'd had it, I would have added dark sesame oil, as one user suggested. This was intensely delicious. Yay!

Broiled Sweet and Tangy Tilapia

This is such a creative blend of flavors. I didn't have much in the house, but I had these ingredients, luckily. I really enjoyed this, and it was so utterly easy to make, too. Thanks!

Super Easy Seared Ahi Tuna

I live in Arizona so even though I had Ahi Tuna, it was frozen and therefore brown. Still, this was really delicious and had a great texture. Goes great with a side salad with a soy dressing.

Classic Hollandaise Sauce

I made this exactly as instructed (except of course for the amt of salt and pepper) and it broke apart immediately in the saucepan. I added a shock of cold water and whisked it but it only helped temporarily--when I put it on the plate it turned into dry, gritty foam within seconds and was inedible. The lemon juice, perhaps.
