About this Cook
Professional teacher and business consultant. Wife and mother of two beautiful children under the age of six!
My favorite things to cook
Cakes that do not need frosting.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother is a fantastic baker. I was always a good cook of savory dishes but now I have learned some patience and can bake quite well.
My cooking triumphs
I do not fear chocolate anymore. I was always intimidated by it until I conquered it through an easy brownie recipes on allrecipes.com.
My cooking tragedies
I was having a dinner party and thought I would top it if with a jellyroll while we ate dinner. However, I got distracted and forgot to add hot water, a key ingredient. Needless to say the jelly did not roll!

Norwegian Hazelnut Cake
Wow! I can not believe more members and visitors to allrecipes.com have not tried this keeper. I found it easy to make, great looking and great tasting. The chocolate glaze compliments this nicely nutty cake in such a pretty way that it makes it wonderful for entertaining.

Blueberry Coffee Cake I
I have tried many recipes from this site with great results but this has been my favorite so far! I substituted 1 1/2 cups fresh chopped strawberries instead of the blueberries. It was a big hit with vanilla ice cream on top. Yum.
