Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
Just finished these on this cool and wet August day - figured great day to make cookies which did take a while. Using previous suggestions put dough in frig for about an hour, used the 2 teaspoons for balls, baked exactly 8 minutes, Reeses cups in right after taking out of the oven which I did freeze. Put in tray in freezer for about 5 minutes and then popped them out with edge of a butter knife - worked out fine. I did heavily spray tins with Pam not taking any chances. I am sure they won't last long around here. Excellent recipe - thanks.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
Just finished the chicken for dinner. I did use 1/4 cup flour with the cracker crumbs, added garlic and onion powder, used only 1/4 butter which I melted and poured over chicken after reading reviews. Baked for 30 min at 375. Chicken was very moist and although can see why some reviews say it was bland but to all of us a good bland! Everyone loved it. I only wish the coating would have been more crispy and thinking how to do that without over cooking the chicken. But even though excellent meal! Thanks for recipe.

Chicken with Rice and Gravy

Reviewed: May 7, 2013
Been making this for a while now and loved by everyone here. I used thin sliced breasts tonight and much easier as far as length of time to fry. And yes you need to use the chicken broth for sure for the gravy - I also use it instead of water when making rice. I had 6 chicken breasts and the cup of flour to coat the breasts is way too much - should have remembered that from last time! Also I did double the spices and added some onion powder. Used 2 cups of broth (buy the good kind!) and used 4 tablespoons of flour for gravy and next time will only use 3 (if I remember again!) cause was a bit thick but just added some milk and thinned it right up. Good dinner and easy which is always key during the week. Hope you try it! and thanks for recipe.

Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: May 19, 2014
WOW!! I used a chuck roast and followed recipe except for mushrooms which 2 out of 4 of us don't like but sorry didn't add and they could just pick them out! Only thing I did was rub some "Gravy Master" on the meat before browning it - my Mother taught me that one. I was thinking about not using chicken broth since I always use beef broth but I did and glad. I think Chef John knows what he's doing! Oh man I just thought about it - forgot the herbs!! but was just awesome and didn't miss a thing. Great recipe - meat just fell apart - works for me!

Chef John's Twice-Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2014
Second time making these - first for Father's Day and tonight for a nothing special day cause that's how great these potatoes are! I did skip the egg yolk last time but may throw it in today. No green onions on hand but have some chives which will work fine. Great great recipe - love Chef John and not his first recipe have tried and loved also.
