Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2012
It was good, but I like my recipe just as good and it's easier. Just eggs, milk and vanilla...

Pigs in a Blanket

Good, if you like hot dogs. Ours took a lot longer to bake, but we had the jumbo size biscuits. Fun recipe to make with your kids!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
So dangerously delicious! I made these at Christmas time and haven't stopped craving them since. The extra crushed Oreos that you sprinkle on top isn't necessary… But it does look prettier. You have to make sure you sprinkle it right after you dip the Oreo balls in the chocolate though, or else it dries too fast and it won't stick to the chocolate. You don't need near as much chocolate as it says to coat the Oreo balls with either. I made a batch with regular Oreos and another with mint Oreos. They were just Kroger brand Oreos too and they were so good! I think I almost liked the mint ones even better. I made 1/4 batch today since we had some Oreos and cream cheese on hand. (Didn't want to get carried away and gain a ton of weight again)! :) I used 2 ounces of cream cheese and 9 Oreos and 1 little square of almond bark. I didn't use any Oreos to sprinkle on top this time. I formed them into 13 little balls with this batch. Can't wait to eat them!!! :)

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
More of a soy sauce than a sweet and sour sauce. It was okay, but I like my recipe better. Won't make again.

Thin Mint Crackers

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2012
These were so gross because of the bittersweet chocolate (which was EXPENSIVE)! I've had these before and they were so good, but they must have used regular milk chocolate. I want to try again with "good tasting" chocolate. Mad I wasted money on the bittersweet! :(

Pretty good, but I wouldn't call them "buffalo" chicken fingers.

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
Yeah, probably a 4-star recipe. It wasn't the BEST meal I've ever had, but it was good and fast for a busy day. I'll probably make it again. I made rice and noodles to see which one we liked better. I liked the noodles, my husband liked the rice. :)

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
Not sure why this got so many good reviews. Yes, it was tender, but it really wasn't very flavorful. I had to add salt after I cut it up and put all of the juices over it and I had already seasoned it really well to begin with. Smelled delicious...tasted okay. Probably won't make again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
We LOVED this recipe and I wasn't even sure I liked chicken and dumplings! It was SO good and we only had 4 of us eating (2 being kids) and didn't even end up having left overs. Couldn't quit eating it! :) I read several reviews before making it and these are the changes I made: only a few thin slices of onion diced up (I didn't think a whole onion sounded very good), 1 3/4 cup water with 1 3/4 t. chicken bouillon (equivalent to 1 can chicken broth), and 1 1/2 cans of water. I also only used 1 can of biscuits...jumbo 8 count can. I cut each biscuit into 6 pieces and they probably could have been smaller, but my husband thought they were the perfect size. I used the original amount of chicken, margarine and soup with those changes and added the biscuits about an hour and a half before we ate. Cooked it all in my crock pot on high the whole time. Perfect recipe and so easy. I'm so glad to have another dinner item to choose from! :)
