Roasted Herb Chicken & Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
So good! The chicken was super juicy and flavorful. I added more (1tsp) rosemary, (2 tbl) oil and (1/2 tsp) garlic powder when I mixed the potatoes. I had to cook it an extra 10 minutes than the recipe called for and tented the pan the last half hour.

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

So good! First time I ever tried any type of Asian influenced recipe and it was BETTER than a restaurant. Definitely make a whole batch of it, you will want to use it. We thickened some of it and served it over rice. YUM! Thanks for a great recipe!

This is great!! Served at a party and everyone loved it. Made it X 4, and all I did different was to only use 3/4 cups butter and I chopped the shrimp up a little. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

This soup was good. I would maybe make again in a batch small enough for one night, but it's not like my favorite soups where I look forward to eating leftovers all week.

These were great and got a lot of compliments. The oil and spice mixture really added to the flavor. Best skins I've had! Thanks!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

This is great! I used low fat mayo, I don't believe it made any difference. I omitted lemon juice and celery salt as a personal preference. And I added garlic because I add it to everything. The timing was perfect. Thanks so much!

Melanie's Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
This is a great recipe. I was looking for a chili recipe without any exotic ingredients and this is it. I doubled the chili powder and added more garlic. For the diced tomatoes, I got the ones with chilis in them. I also omitted the tomato sauce and instead added about three cans of tomato juice. I think it would have been too think with tomato sauce. Oh yeah, it doesn't say, but make sure you drain your beef after you brown it. Thanks!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Followed the recipe to a T except for subbing frozen veggies for fresh. It turned out great! Had a good home-cooked taste. Was looking for something that didn't call for canned soups, exactly what I was looking for, and it wasn't like it took any longer other recipes. Thanks!

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

I loved it! The velveeta really melts smooth and creamy, unlike some cheeses I've used. I cut back a little on broccoli, but the original recipe amount is probably perfect. Thanks!

Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2006
I thought this was a good base, and with the changes I made would give it 4 stars. First, I added a small can of mushrooms to the last few minutes of frying the beef. I drained the beef/onion mixture of the grease to lower the fat content. I skipped the flour as it seemed like it would probably be think enough. Along with the salt, I probably added a half tsp of pepper and a half tsp of garlic powder. When I added the soup, I also added a cup of beef broth and about a tbs of worchestshire. The leftovers still look thick, so I think I'll add some milk to thin them out. Thanks for a great start!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2006
So good! I forgot to add the sour cream, and it was great without it! Will add some to individual bowls to try it. I only used 3 large breasts, but think I will up it to 4 next time and that should be plenty. I made some changes to make it a little healthier and to only use one pot. Boiled the chicken for an hour with only two bullion cubes, it created a nice stock. Removed chicken to cool, and added remaining ingredients (minus the oil) to stock. Subbed a can of diced tomatoes with chilies for the can of whole tomatoes. Left out the tomato soup, added an extra can of corn, and subbed black beans for chili beans. Also added some red pepper to taste, I like spicy. Simmered that for a half hour while the chicken cooled and I shredded it, added the chicken back and I had a great big pot of delicious, healthy soup. Thanks for the great recipe!!

My family loves this. It's a great on-the-go snack, just toss it in the cooler. We've taken it on float trips, boating, and picnics. I serve it with triscit crackers. Thanks!

Greek Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
I got nothing but compliments on this salad, and I didn't take any home, so I think that speaks for itself. We were a big group so I took another's advise, and used 12 oz pasta, increased the veggies a little and kept the dressing the same. Make sure you refriderate overnight, it really needs to meld. Thanks for a keeper!

Tuscan Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
This is a delicious and inexpensive soup, two things I look for in a recipe. I added extra broth and more potatoes to make a little more. I only had regular sausage, so I added cayenne and Italian seasoning to make up for not having spicy Italian sausage. Added garlic to taste. I used about 3/4 of a 10 Oz package of frozen spinach, drained, in place of fresh, and subbed about a cup of milk for the evap. Thanks!!

Beef Stroganoff II

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2005
This recipe looked like it would probably be pretty thick, so I added about a cup of chicken (all I had) broth with the mushroom soup. I also used ground beef (browned and drained) instead of sirloin(cheaper). I cut the sour cream back to about a cup (again, all I had) and added garlic powder. I thought it turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!
