French Baguettes

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2014
I love the simplicity of this recipe. I've found I need to add a touch more flour (I let my 3 year old help measure). We've also found we prefer using egg whites instead of egg yolk.

Curried Coconut Chicken

This was very simple to make, and all 3 of my kids ate it up. The blend of flavors was perfect. This will be a regular in our household.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2014
These came out perfect! I added raisins to half the batch. These are great to alter to personal taste, add chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, etc. Do these count as a breakfast food? You have oats and fruit :)

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2014
I made these for Christmas morning the first time. My mom said they were better than the ones she had the week before from a restaurant known around the world for their cinnamon rolls. I make them up the night before, then bake in the morning. Making them again tonight for the first day of school!

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2014
Use cottage cheese! It's makes a huge difference so creamy and delicious (don't worry it all melts into an ooey gooey yummines. To the cottage cheese layer I often add fresh chopped basil and up to a cup of fresh cut baby spinach. Instead of ground beef, I use Italian sausage. To the sauce I add a pinch of baking soda, cuts down on the acidity. Even without my alterations this would be a 5 star recipe, I just like making it more to my personal taste.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: May 15, 2014
I followed this recipe exactly, which I never do and it came out perfect. I honestly cannot imagine changing a thing, and this is coming from someone who enjoys doctoring recipes. Sometimes simple is best!

My husband and I love asparagus, the kids not so much. I made this and the kids fought over who got the last piece! It's simple, tasty, and the kids LOVE it. What's not to love?

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2012
The kids beg for this delicious soup. This has become a family favorite! I use kale instead of spinach and add a touch of bacon fat instead of bacon, otherwise I leave it the same.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2012
This is a great base. I made a few changes. I like thicker chili so I added a can of retried beans. It thickens it up without changing the flavor. On a whim I added a can of cheese soup. Wow! That added the right creaminess and yummy taste. I didn't add any additional cheese, but instead sprinkled a little on top. Husband had three helpings, kids and myself had two. This is a keeper.

Balsamic Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
I followed the suggestion of roasting the carrots in 2T olive oil for 30 minutes then tossing in balsamic vinegar and roasting another 5 minutes. Served with balsamic glazed drizzled over for fantastic carrots I'll make again and again.

Grilled Salmon I

Baked at 400 for 17 minutes, covered with foil. With the remaining marinade reduced in a sauce pan and added chopped pecans at the last minute. This is a winner, in fact my 10 year old and I fought over the last piece. Yummy!

Like others I changed how I layered. Next time I'll add some basil and oregano in with the sour cream. Sour cream is key to this recipe.

Made this for my daughters pool party. It was a huge hit. I didn't measure the pineapple juice since my bottles were larger but it still tasted fantastic.

Robin's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
This is a family favorite. It's an easy recipe to alter to your liking. I prefer fresh garlic added with the green onion instead of garlic powder. I also try and save time and effort and layer like a lasagna instead of rolling, saves so much time.
