White Almond Wedding Cake

I make lots of cakes and wanted to like this recipe but didn't. I think a plain white cake mix would have been better. The cake tasted like flour and the texture was "gummy" for lack of a better word. It took longer to bake than mentioned....maybe due to the lower oven temp. of 325 degrees instead of 350. If making this cake for a special occasion, please test this cake out and make sure you like it before your special day.

Chicken Enchilada Soup III

After having the Chicken Enchilada Soup at Chili's, I decided to see if I could make it. I saw a review that said this was like Chili's and they were right! Delicious! I read the reviews and did as they suggested. I never used Masa in my life,so used the tip that said to whisk the masa one tablespoon at a time into the water until dissolved (instead of plopping all the masa in at once) so I wouldn't end up with grainy soup. I also used one cup of velveta and one cup of Cheddar. I gave some of the soup to my daughter's family and they raved about it! Great recipe, quick and easy to make!

New England Clam Chowder I

Rich Chocolate Frosting

This is a rich dark chocolatey frosting. I used it on yellow cupcakes and was very good with the cake.

Raisin Sour Cream Bars

Wonderful!!! I had sour cream and raisins that needed used so stumbled upon this recipe. I did take the advice from the other reviewers and only used 3/4 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cup flour and added extra cinnamon to both the filling and crust parts. This is a keeper!
