About this Cook
I am a wife and mother of 2. In the past, I never seemed to have the time to challenge my cooking/baking skills due to my career. Changes in my career and life goals have allowed me to take more interest and enjoyment in cooking and baking for my family. It turns out that I am really good at it!! Our family has had the opportunity to try many different flavors and types of food thanks to my free time and we are enjoying it thoroughly! Dinner time is always delicious and desert is even better! I think that I missed my calling...
My favorite things to cook
My favs are definatley baked goods...muffins, cup cakes, birthday cakes, cookies..., I love to see the delight on my children's faces when they walk through the door from school to see fresh baked goods for their after school snack! I also really enjoy to make savoury, spicey dishes for dinner. All has made it so very easy to find new and exciting things to make to keep our taste buds happy and keep our everyday dinners exciting and fresh!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My 9 year old daughter and I enjoy making sugar cookies from scratch and after cutting and baking them, we like to paint them with all different colors of icing that is also home made. We decorate them and give them as Christmas presents to family and friends and teachers. We also do this for the kids class on valentines day. We always make extras for home as well.

Brown Sugar Cut-Out Cookies and Icing
WOW, I have to say that I am really disappointed in this recipe :( I added an egg and a little bit of milk just like the other review said because it was way to much flour to blend properly. I then spent time rolling and cutting out the cookies and baking them. After baking 3 trays, I tried one..., very bland, no flavor.
