Peanut Butter Balls II

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
This is a good basic recipe. I like my peanut butter balls to taste like Reese's peanut butter cups. I skipped the graham crumbs, reduced the sugar by 1/4 cup and added about a teaspoon of salt. It tastes a lot like Reeses then.

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
This is the best wing recipe ever with the following changes: I used chicken strips instead of wings and fried them (for a total of 10 minutes, turning over after 5 min.) in a half stick of butter and a half cup of olive oil (this prevents the butter from burning). I also added a clove of minced garlic and a half tablespoon of minced fresh ginger to the sauce and thickened a little on the stove before pouring over the chicken. I then cooked them in the oven for 20 minutes. Everyone raved about them!

Honey Mustard Dressing I

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
Amazingly delicious! The only changes I made was to add only 1 tsp. of soy as other reviewers suggested and used spicy brown mustard instead of regular.

No Fail Pie Crust I

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I halved the recipe and added 1/2 tsp. salt which gave it nice flavor. I substituted half butter, half coconut oil for the shortening, which is made from toxic cottonseed oil. I was worried it wouldn't be flakey because it seemed too watery, but it turned out great for my German chocolate pie.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
This is a great recipe! However, I changed a a few things to my liking. I added 1 tsp. more of cumin, 3 tablespoons of sugar to the sauce (this cuts down the tomato acid a bit), and an extra tsp. of salt. Next time, I believe I'll add 1/2 tsp. to each lb. of the beef before cooking.

Banana Split Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Delicious! I added an extra package of cream cheese and since cool whip is made with hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup, I made my own whip cream using whipping cream and a little sugar and vanilla. Look for the recipe on this site. It makes all the difference in the world. I also added sliced fresh strawberries. My family loves this! Too easy!
