Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
again ... i have to say how scrumptious this is! everyone who tries it is shocked by the LACK of ingredients. This is my go to for salads, wraps and just plain old snacking. Love it, love it, love it! I just need to say that even a few years later I STILL use this as my go to shrimp recipe. It is a 'must bring' to any bbq or party. Just wanted you to know how much it is loved by all (even kiddos) who demolish it. I say demolish, because I now time how long it lasts! Luckily I always bring a 'second helping' :)

French Beef Stew

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Love it. No other words needed. only thing i add is onions, extra potatoes (yukon gold), extra carrots some celary fresh garlic and maybe a lettle red wine and FRESH THYME is all you have it. Such a lovely dish .... even without additions. DO NOT SKIP THE THYME OR THE DIJON .... it will ruin the dish.

Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
Best pickle recipe ever. I think the dill heads (seeded dill) is best, but in a pinch baby dill + a dash of dill seeds will do. Hope I don't get in trouble for this comment but, I have noticed a lot of "mushy pickle results" lately. My suggetion is to "cold can". A hot water bath is what the FDA insists be required for food safety, but a responsible canner or one that can use a computer to find out how to cold can might want to use. That is what the author's original recipe stated. That and the cold water ice bath are the key to a scrumptious pickle. My neices and nephews ask for them every summer. What more could you ask for in recipe? The only thing I wish to add for all those who wish to not be 100% purist is to half the white vinegar w/rice wine vinegar. It is in the vinegar isle of the grocery store and it usually Japanese. The flavor is a little bit smoother, but still has that garlic bite. Love it. Give it try and please comment. This is what my family LOVES!

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2006
Fantastic! It did take a little bit longer to bake (about 10 minutes), but you will not a find an easier or yummier cake. I sprinkled mine with a little powdered sugar, but it would have been just as good without it. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
One of the best cookies I have ever tasted! They are perfect, buttery and melty with just the right amount of sweetness. I did add about 1/2 tsp. of vanilla, but they would be great without it.

Chicken Tortilla Soup III

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
Excellent Recipe!! I added roasted green chiles and 1 can Rotel Mexican tomatoes (instead of salsa) and it turned out great! I also put guacamole on top of each bowl. Along with the cheese and tortilla chips, it was super yummy. Will make again and again!

Awesome Ham Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2004
This is the best pasta salad I have ever made! I usually do not care for sweet pickles, but they are awesome in this. I use medium shell pasta because it seems to hold the dressing better. Just to let you know how good it is, I made this on a Saturday (for a family of three) and had to make a double batch on that next Thursday! My husband wants to eat it with every meal.
