Chef John's Peanut Butter Cookies

They were good, but didn't have enough peanut butter taste. My husband says I should stick to the Crisco recipe. Happy baking

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Great, easy to make, and doesn't fall apart like some of the cakes with filling inside. I made this at 3am fo the royal wedding watching party. Great hit.

My husband and I prefer the lighter flavors. We enjoy a *kick* in most of our food. So...this was not interesting for either of us. We didn't care for the savory flavors with the sweet, the cinnamon was just too hard to handle. If it helps, we really like jalapeno, red chile paste, spicy moles, Thai, but this was low on the totem pole. Hope this helps and that y'all can understand why I only put 2 stars.

Asian Pork Tenderloin

This was great. I was looking for a pork recipe with a little different flavor and this one did the trick. I didn't have any chile paste, so I used Siracha HOT Chili Sauce (it's the one you can buy in most grocery stores where you can see the chile sauce in a clear bottle with a green squeeze top). My husband is the pork lover and he said it was great too.

Cinnamon Roasted Sweet Potatoes

These were super. Not as sweet as those marshmallow topped potatoes, but just enough sweetness to complement the sweet potatoes. I made no changes and will do this one again for us and company!

Chocolate Pecan Pie III

My husband is the chocolate pecan lover and he said this was great. It's very sweet and rich. I'm the regular pecan pie lover and I missed the regular filling. It could have had more filling and a few less chocolate chips. But it will stay on our list for best pies.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Several of our guests really liked this, but it was a little too mushy for our taste If you're used to a crispier dressing, then I'd look for another recipe. If you're looking for a stuffing (which I consider moister) then this is a good recipe. I put it in the crock pot in the morning and only fluffed it a couple of times with the fork throughout the day. It had great flavor and was very moist.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Everybody loved this. It was gone before our dinner was ready. I grew up in Texas and am used to hot foods. This dish could have been a little hotter for me, but most of my guests grew up around Massachusetts and they felt it was just right. My husband said to put this in our list for things to make as a regular company appetizer!

Garlic Cheese Ball

It was kind of flavorless the day I made it and after it sat overnight in the fridge the Ranch dressing mix flavor was overpowering. I won't make this again.

Holiday Chicken Salad

This is one of the salads I made for the Historical Society Tea. It was the first to go. It's very light on the Mayo and the apples add just the right crunch. Great Recipe

Caribbean Chicken Salad

I guess my expectations were too high after reading all the reviews. I made this for our Historical Society Tea and this is the only salad I had leftover. It just tasted too sweet. I may try it again with a different Teriyaki sauce, but was disappointed this time.

Baklava

All the comments and ratings are TRUE. I followed the recipe, but cooked the sugar syrup 10 minutes longer to make it a little thicker. We served it at the Super Bowl Party and it was the hit of the evening, since the Pats lost. :(

Roasted New Red Potatoes

I fixed these for company a couple of weeks ago and my husband has asked for them three times since then! These potatoes cook to just the right doneness inside and the outside is crisp and tasty. I added a tablespoon of the rosemary chicken seasoning and they were fantastic.

Sweet and Gooey Chicken Wings

Made these for the Patriot's game yesterday and they were okay. I followed the recipe exactly and there wasn't anything gooey about them and the sauce was bland. My husband said to remove this recipe from our box.

Rita's Eggs Strata

I've made several of these breakfast type casseroles for special occassions ove the years an this is by far the best. It's filling and fluffy at the same time! I followed the directions as written and it worked well. I get lots of requests for this recipe (from young and old alike).

Pull-Apart Bacon Bread

I've made this breakfast bread for more than 15 years. The last time I made it the center was not completely baked. I would agree with the other post, maybe they're making the cans bigger. I always get requests for the recipe and it's ALWAYS the first to go.

Chocolate Banana Bread

This is a great recipe. My husband and I are both chocoholics and we love this for mid-afternoon snack or dessert. During the holidays my husband will eat this mid-morning! The only alteration I make is to add 1 cup chopped pecans and I'll add full-fat sour cream is that's all on hand. I've made this a half-dozen times and always use my kitchen aid. I also cook it about 1 hour for the small loaf pans.
