Chocolate Chip Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2004
This is a wonderful cheesecake. I only bake mine for 40 minutes and then leave it in the oven. It always turns out great and my friends love it.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: May 18, 2004
This was truly tender. I used only one chicken and cooked it for four hours. It was divine.

Chicago Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2004
This was fabulous. I made a few adjustments after reading other reviews like adding cream cheese and less green onions. My Bunco group and my husband loved it.

Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2004
These were wonderful. I mixed in garlic powder and parmesan cheese into the cream cheese. They need to be baked on a rack so they don't swim in grease. Also, 20 minutes is not long enough for the bacon to be done all the way through and even slightly crispy.

Beef Yakitori

Reviewed: May 18, 2004
This was delicious. I used cubed pork tenderloin and let it marinate for more than 24 hours. Definitely will be a favorite in our family from now on.

Cowboy Cookie Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2004
I changed my layers to be more pleasing to the eye. Chocolate chips went last so that the flour wouldn't fall through the cracks. I made these jars for Christmas gifts for friends and everyone has said they were really good when baked. One husband said they were the best cookies he has ever eaten!

Almond-Crusted Halibut Crystal Symphony

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
A symphony indeed! Every bite was heavenly. Even my kids who were skeptical at first oohed and aahed. The sauce makes the dish -- I tried not to think about the butter/fat content as it crossed my lips (then went straight to my hips). I didn't need to double the sauce because I only made three fillets instead of six.

Irresistible Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2004
My husband loved this pie. I don't eat pecan pie but I made it for Thanksgiving and used "Grandma's Secret Pie Crust" recipe. I used only 1 1/2 c. of pecans per other reviews.

Angela's Oriental Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
Easy and delicious! I used rotisserie chicken leftovers and canned, sliced carrots. Also added 1 tsp. soy sauce, snow peas and baby bok choy. Next time I'll use more bok choy or maybe try spinach. My kids ate it right up.

Potato Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
Hmm - our family loves these, even the toddler. I never use canned salmon, though. Always wild salmon, either fresh or frozen, that I bake at 400 degrees until moist & flaky. It must be served with a sauce: I've used the Wine Sauce for Seafood recipe on this site and also a lemony aioli mayo.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
I made this to accompany the southwestern eggrolls on this site. When there were leftovers, we wanted to find anything we could to dip -- yum! Tastes best after the flavors have had time to blend. Thanks Amy!

Korean Barbequed Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
Very tasty -- even my kids ate it up. Wrapped in bibb lettuce, it is fairly healthy and the sauce is delicious. I didn't have hot chile paste so I just left it out and it was still wonderful. Rainy day -- I cut the sirloin thinly, marinated then broiled it in the oven.

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2006
Best salsa ever! It's fresh and has great depth. I used two cans of petite diced tomatoes (slightly drained) and diced one jalapeno pepper instead of the canned chiles. Instead of chips 'n salsa, it was salsa and anything we could find to dip in it. For best results, refrigerate overnight. Yum!

Spinach Quiche

This was delicious. I used fresh mushrooms sauteed in the butter and regular feta cheese. Hard on the waistline but every bite is worth it.

Lemon Supreme Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2005
Spectacular - fresh lemony zing mixed with sweet cream cheese layer. I didn't use any of the cream cheese mixture on top so I only used 8 oz. of cream cheese and cut back on whipped cream. Used less food coloring for more appetizing look. I am craving this pie now and look forward to making it for the holidays.

This has become my favorite taco dip recipe. I do not use green peppers but everything else combines into a wonderful flavor. We like it the next day, too.

Luau Chicken

Reviewed: May 18, 2004
Delicious! This was easy and wonderful. I fried the onion and green pepper a bit with the chicken before I put it in the oven. I didn't need to cook it the whole hour. My whole family loved it.
