Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
If you use a Boboli crust, you only have to pop everything on top and bake in the oven about 10 minutes! Fast supper because I cooked the chicken ahead of time.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
We liked this very much, but I did steam the broccoli for a few minutes, so it wasn't quite so bitter tasting. My husband loves cooked brocoli but he's not a great fan of fresh, so this worked perfectly!

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: May 3, 2004
I used Splenda instead of the sugar and 1/4 c nonfat sour cream with 1/4 cup mayo instead of the 1/2 cup of mayo called for in the recipe. I shredded my own cabbage, carrots and onion for the mix part. This is the very best coleslaw dressing recipe I've found and I've been looking for a good one for 30 years! Thanks be to Marsha!!!!

Chicken Salad II

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2004
My husband loved it! I did too! I halved the recipe for the two of us and it made a ton! Stuck some uncooked mushroom stems (sliced) in the second day and that was good too.

I used Splenda instead of sugar and Ovaltine for the chocolate mix. I used mild instead of water and it was great! Everyone loved it!

Denise Salad Number One

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2004
I halved this recipe and it was enough for 4! Omitted the avacado because nobody likes them that I was serving. Used blue cheese instead of goat as another reader suggested. Used a basil vinaigrette dressing. Loved it! Delicious!

Cioppino

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2004
Had to improvise on this a bit for our tastes! Added 3/4 tsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 more can of tomatoes and 2 TBPS of tomato paste. Very good like that! Expensive though!

Great Garlic Beer Steaks

Good marinade--nice flavor. Didn't use any additional steak sauce for flavoring. What's the point of that?

My golfing friends loved these! Easy to make ahead of time too! Ran out of candies so used a dab of grape jelly--even better than a PB&J sandwich!!!!

Brunch on the Bayou

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2004
Delicious! Easy! Just broil the cheese to get it to turn a nice brown. Served at our golf breakfast and everyone said it was good. I put a heaping 1/4tsp of red pepper tho'. Next time I'll use a half tsp because we like things a bit spicier than some of our friends.

Not spicy enough for us, so I added 4 hot banana peppers with seeds in chunks. That helped!

Hot Cocoa Mix

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2004
I took other reviewers advice and added 1 cup more cocoa to original recipe. It wasn't chocolate enough for us, but 2 cups to the original did the trick!

Rebel Angels

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2004
The spiciness was good. Very flavorful dish. Only thing I would do is cook the bacon more before wrapping the shrimp. I would cook it in the micro and after wrapping the shrimp finish cooking in the broiler instead of in a fry pan.

Black-Eyed Peas Spicy Style

I did as another suggested and used the chicken broth also. I had 1 1/2 slices of cooked bacon to put in as well. Delicious!

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2004
Easy and delicious! I made them up ahead of time except for the cheese and popped them in the freezer in individual dishes once I had confirmed they were good. Now whenever I want a meal almost totally prepared I pull out as many as I need. Just have to add the cheese at the end of the baking time. And Monterey Jack with jalapenos is delicious too!

Caribbean Jerk Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2004
Very flavorful marinade! However. I read other reviews first and doubled the cayenne. Next time I will use 3/4 tsp! It is great on chicken--maybe even better than on the pork chops!

Liking all the ingredients in this recipe, I thought it would be really good. Instead it was just good. Nothing very exciting, but it was easy and quick to make.

Craig's Mystic Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2004
Good sauce!!! But we like hot, spicy food.I cooked them a little differently however.I took frozen wings and put a bit of sauce on top of them, then placed them in the micro for 3 minutes in batches of 6. I then put them in a ziplock bag and refrigerated for about 24 hrs turning occasionally.I cooked them in a 325 oven for 1 1/2 hrs basting with the sauce every 20 minutes. Yummy

Buffalo Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2004
I agree with others, there's no need to take the shrimp and put them on a cookie sheet. Shake, leave in bag and shake again after taking out of the frig. We liked them alot, but next time I'm going to try baking instead of frying them. Will try a 400 degree oven till they turn pink.
