Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2006
excellent recipe! pork is moist and very flavorful. I used Mrs. Dash for the seasoning salt. We tried this recipe a second time with mushrooms and white wine instead of onions and water- also turned out well.

Turkey Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
Excellent flavor and very filling. I add 1 Tbsp. of chopped pimento to this recipe just before serving for a little something extra... I recommend serving the soup with a hearty wheat or rye bread.

Cornbread and Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
I would recommend adding 1 cup of dried cranberries and 1 14.5 oz can of madarin orange slices (drained) to the mixture before baking.

Rhubarb Stir Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
This recipe was quickly gobbled up at our house, but could use less sugar. The next time I make it, I will use 1 1/4 c. sugar and continue to substitute 1/2 c. yogurt for a 1/2 of the sour cream.

Hamburger Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
I was looking for a soup recipe that contained ground beef and this was a delightful alternative to chili. I would omit the ketchup to enjoy the flavor of the vegetables and meat. I will make this soup again, but I will add 1 c. chopped potatoes to fill out this soup.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
I quadrupled the recipe: 4 bags of cranberries added to 1.5 cans of frozen OJ, 1 cup of water and 1.5 cups of white sugar and brown sugar. It turned out beautifully.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2006
I added 3T soy sauce, 1 T garlic, and salt and pepper to the meat. Still could use more flavor. I put chopped carrots, frozen corn and frozen peas on top of the meat, then the potatoes, then 1/4 c. shredded cheddar. Baked at 350 for 25 minutes. Definitely a good comfort food.

Turkey Tetrazzini Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2006
very good! I added 1 more clove of garlic and black pepper to add more flavor. A combination of cheeses adds more depth to the dish- very good for a freeze-ahead meal.

I tried this recipe last night, but used brown rice instead of white rice. The result was soupy and not very flavorful.

I tried the pesto couscous part of this recipe- I didn't like the basil flavor in the couscous, we won't make this again.
