About this Cook
I am a proud military spouse living abroad in Italy! I have 1 amazing son, Dominic who is 12. I am a trained surgical assistant aspiring to be a nurse anesthetist once I return to the States. I love to cook and travel. Family means everything to me. I volunteer with our church youth group and cook for them every week. I have been blessed to be able to travel all over Europe and have made many wonderful friends along the way.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook big fabulous meals for a crowd. I also love to make cupcakes--one of my specialties! I am also a fan of appetizers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up in an Italian-American family, my Grandmother has taught me many wonderful dishes. Milanese Risotto, polenta with sausage and beef in a wine sauce, homeade spaghetti and meatballs and her amazing stuffing.
My cooking triumphs
I created a recipe for scalloped potatoes that is to die for and now a family holiday tradition. I also created a corn casserole that my brother cannot have Thanksgiving without!
My cooking tragedies
I tried a recipe for slow cooker beans and ham, sounds yummy right? Well it was yucky and I ended up throwing it out. Too bad.

Beer Cheese Pretzel Dip
This is a wonderful dip. I have been making this for quite some time now. I altered it by adding minced garlic and chopped green onion. I mix the onion in and reserve some for the top. Yummy!!!!
