Oatmeal Pudding Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
Followed to a T! FAAAABULOUS! I'm not big on raisins so I opted not to use them. I couldn't find my aunt's recipe, so I searched and found this, and this is THE closest and BEST I've found in comparison! Thank you to the person who posted this!

Escarole Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
SUPER EASY, SUPER YUMMY! Will definately make this again. Unlike other soups, I didn't need to add any salt to this recipe! I did however, add a little fresh garlic, just because I love garlic, and it was absolutely delicious!

FABULOUS! The only thing I did differently was take someone else's advice and added garlic. I LOVE garlic in anything, and it was DELICIOUS!

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
Couldn't quite get them "perfect". Each batch was either over-done or under-done, but they were STILL delicious. Will definately try these again and again until I figure out how to get them just right. Quick and easy recipe.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
I used the butter flavored shortening for more flavor, as someone else suggested. They "tasted" good, but weren't "soft" or "chewy" as I'd hoped. Someone else said they reminded them of a buscuit consistency, which is exactly what they reminded me of. I followed everything to a "T" but for some reason the cookies didn't flatten out. They more or less stayed pretty close to their initial "ball shape" that we rolled them into. I tried rolling them into balls with the dough at room temperature as well as refrigerated. Same result either way. Tried helping them along by flattening them with a fork. Still didn't spread out, and stayed the way I flattened them. I've seen other recipes that don't call for shortening, so I'm wondering if maybe that had something to do with the results??

Stuffed Pepper Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
I followed this recipe to the "T". The only thing I DID do differently was in place of the rice, I used egg noodles. Several of the reviews said the rice still absorbed most of the liquid, and because we like soup to have liquid, to try to reduce the chances of that happening, I tried the noodles instead. I thought the soup was kind of bland. Definately needed something else. We weren't impressed, which really disappointed me. I was hoping for a new favorite home made soup. :(

Italian Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
OMG! This was soooo easy, and sooo tasty! I will definately be making this on a regular basis! Where it says let it cook for 25 minutes with the lid on, then remove and continue to cook, I didn't need to continue cooking it. It was ready for the table. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing!

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
FABULOUS recipe! Tasty and very easy. I can't eat mushrooms, so instead of using the cream of mushroom soup, I used cream of onion. I added minced garlic in with the onion soup mix, and water in place of the wine. Turned out FABULOUS! I also took the other's idea of adding in the carrots and potatoes an hour before the roast was to be finished. Everything was perfect.

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
VERY tasty! We LOVE these cookies. A couple of years ago, I'd found an awesome recipe, and for the life of me, I can't find it again. I typed in "chewy sugar cookies" and found this one, tried it, and LOVE IT! The cookies DO flatten out tremendously, as if something may be missing, but they are still so yummy, I wouldn't change a thing!

Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Absolutely DELICIOUS! Easy to make, and a little time consuming, but it was worth it. I doubled the recipe, and it took much longer than anticipated. I added fresh garlic instead of the powder, and added extra tomato sauce, in place of some of the stewed tomatoes. I was a little short handed, otherwise I would've used 2 cans of the stewed tomatoes (don't forget I doubled it). Delicious! Thanks!

Easy and Delicious Chicken and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
I doubled the recipe and followed the directions to a "T". It was easy, didn't taste too bad, but I'm not so sure about the rice. It was sort of mushy, I guess. I'd like to see what other people did differently with it for the next time...

Creamy Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
OUT OF THIS WORLD, DELICIOUS! I had to make a couple of changes, but will DEFINATELY do this again. I used sea salt (the garlic/sea salt by mccormick), because I prefer the sea salt, fresh ground pepper, left out the garlic powder since I used the garlic sea salt, and used cream of celery soup, because I didn't have the cream of chicken. I took someone else's suggestion and thinned the soup just a bit, with a little bit of milk (about a 1/4 cup). I served it over egg noodles. IT WAS AWESOME! Even my kids loved it!

Juicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
This was fantastic! Being a super involved mom of 3, I didn't have a lot of time, and was looking for something that could be prepared quickly, easily, and with as few ingredients as possible. THIS did the trick. Everyone ate it, liked it, and said we'll have to have this again. The only thing I did differently, was I didn't marinate the chops for more than about 15 minutes TOTAL, and this still turned out moist and fabulous! Thanks!

Pork Chop and Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
We made this for dinner tonight. I really liked the way the potatoes turned out (using other people's suggestions to cook them in the pan first, as well as cook the onions first), but my kids didn't like the potatoes. They said they didn't "taste right". They LOVED the way the meat turned out, but I didn't. I thought the meat was too dry, and didn't have much taste. I'm sort of torn on this recipe. I have a feeling I won't be making this again any time soon. It's a shame, because it truly was very easy.

Baked Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
This was SOOOO good. When I first showed my husband the recipe, he said he wasn't so sure of it, but then again, neither was I. I was looking for something easy, and different. This was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. I thought it may have been too much liquid, because I used really thin pork chops, but I still followed the recipe to a tee, and it worked out perfectly. I didn't cook them in the oven for an hour, since they were thin chops, I kept an eye on them, and probably only needed to cook them for about 1/2 hour before they reached 160 degrees. The sauce reminded me of my grandmother's home made barbeque sauce. DELICIOUS!! Thanks!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
VERY VERY good, and SUPER easy. Even the pickiest eaters in my home LOVED this. I prefer the sliced garlic, as well as onions, to all of the powders. Everything else we kept the same, and it turned out DELICIOUS. We also used someone else's suggestion of making a homemade gravy of chicken broth, flour, water, and drippings to put over the chicken, and served it with rice. we WILL be having this again, and chances are... VERY soon! Thanks!!!

Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2004
This was an AWESOME recipe, everyone LOVED it. I used the healthy request (low salt, low fat) in place of the regular cream of chicken soup. I had to double the recipe, and instead of using 2 cans of the cream of mushroom soup, I only used one, because my family is not fond of mushrooms. Since I only used one can, they couldn't even tell it was in there. It turned out GREAT! I will DEFINATELY be making this again, at LEAST on a monthly basis! Thanks!!
