This was a good recipe. I made it for a 40th anniversary dinner, but wish that I had had an opportunity to do a test run on it. However, I wasn't about to do a practice meal with a $75 piece of beef! I doubled the sauce as per many people's suggestion, and it was NOT necessary. Also, I did not put any herbs on the outside, and I don't think it took away anything from the dish. My one complaint is that I had to run all over the place to find shallots, and when I did, they were so expensive. I spent $25 on shallots to make double the sauce. However, they have such a unique flavour that I think it was worth it. Overall, a pretty good recipe.
