Habanero Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
These are basically sugar cookies with heat. I really liked them ... I gave them to friends for the holidays and they loved them. I really suggest eating them with a glass of milk, because the heat is substantial. I didn't do the milk bath portion of the recipe, so they were pretty heat-in-mouth-and-throat-inducing which was was a double bonus for me as it kept me from devouring more than one in a sitting!

Swiss Chard with Garbanzo Beans and Fresh Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
I liked it and I got my 15 year old son to eat it. I didn't have any green onions or shallots, so that may have affected the flavor some, but it was still good. Loved the lemon juice.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
These came out really good. I'm glad we took the extra effort to save the pumpkin seeds from our pumpkin carving party today to make these. Yum Yum Yum!

Squash Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
Loved this! It was easy to make, just took the time to chop up the vegetables. Used seasoned breadcrumbs instead of flour as suggested previously. Also browned the chicken prior to stuffing to make it easier. It came out really really well. Even my picky son loved it which is why it gets 5 stars!

BUSH'S® Vegetarian Barbecued Squash

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
This was really very good. I don't think the butter/margarine was necessary ... I didn't taste it and it adds extra calories/fat, so I'll try it without next time, its a good way to get in vegetables, and I think I'll try someone elses suggestions of using non canned baked beans to reduce sodium content. Very good recipe though!

Spinach and Potato Frittata

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
This recipe was SOOO easy. I used 2% cheddar cheese and 1% milk and it turned out great. 5 Weight Watchers Points per servings. So delicious. Next time I'm going to add tomatoes I think. This is definitely a keeper!!!

Italian Cream Cheese Pinwheels

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2006
These were good. However I am a cream cheese lover, and I would have liked more of a cream cheese taste. The bread sorta soaked up the cream cheese and left the seasonings, which were good, but I think next time I'll use more cream cheese. Very easy and good though.

Blueberry Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
The topping on this was great. The jello didn't dissolve very well, but it was probably cook's error. I've heard though that pineapple negatively affects how jello sets, so that may be it too. The taste of this wasn't too well received, the pineapple/blueberry/raspberry combination didn't really go over well. It tasted "okay", but just wasn't really loved.

This cake was fairly simple to make. It is a great cake for decorating. I used it to make a flag cake for Fourth of July. It is very yummy.
