Party Lemonade

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2014
I made everything just as the recipe says last year for my sons birthday party. Every last drop was gone. My mother in law even added water and sugar to the lemons to try and get the last bit of flavor out. Futile attempt!! It was so delicious. I'm making it again today for his second birthday in triple amounts! Thanks for this recipe! My little one and family is sure to love it!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
These really are incredible. I thought the other reviewers were insane raving about them like they were but ohmygoodness, they are every bit of perfect as they are made out to be. You could easily add lemon or almond extract for extra zing. I did add about 1.5 tsp of vanilla and cooked them exactly 8.5 min. Even my toddler who hates sweets, love these, which is a nice change from the 'tastes like poop' face I always get. This is a keeper.

Nutella® Hazelnut Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2013
The edges got too crispy too fast. They are very easily burnt. And the flavor is only slightly Nutella. The saltiness and char wasn't pleasant. So I had another pan of dough ready, so I baked them in muffin tins, so they would keep a better shape. They came out like a brownie which was soooo much better. They were gooey on the inside and chocolatey. Still salty. Overly dense, even for a brownie. I topped it with Peppermint marshmallow frosting for Christmas and my family raved over the flavor combo. It really lightened the taste of disappointment for me. Everybody else loved them though. Next time, I'm trying something different. I would recommend a trial run before you take these to an event.

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
Where to start. This pie was delicious but it gave me quite a bit of grief. First off, I over estimated the amount of potato as some users suggested and still had too little. Had to run to the store early Thanksgiving morning. Then after an hour of baking, it wouldn't firm up! It baked for around 1.5 hours and much freaking out, it firmed. It was gorgeous for sure. But the consistency was strange. Next time, I'll puree everything, then bake. That being said, it was the only pie at dinner that got completely eaten! Thanks!

Fresh Green Beans, Fennel, and Feta Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
I'm new to fennel. I was disappointed when it smelled like licorice because I don't care for licorice. But after it all cooked together, WOW, what a nice surprise! I didn't add the cheese because I'm lactose intolerant, but it didn't even need it. I leave out a star because I wish the recipe had given more information and specifics about chopping the fennel. I went too far up the stalk and it got a bit stringy. With that said, it was totally worth it. I ate over half of the batch for lunch by myself. I will definitely make this again and maybe even to impress someone for a nice dinner!

Real Hummus

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2012
This was wonderful! It was a tad salty but I liked it. Next time I can always use fresh cooked chick peas instead if I don't want it as salty. But it was perfect for dipping veggies! This will be my one and only starter recipe for sure!

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
YUM! I only had a few of these, the rest got frozen in preparation for baby but they were awesome! The roundup of ingredients was ridiculous but now that I have them, I'm sure I'll make these often!

Banana Split Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
This recipe was okay. It was very much like a banana split but there are better pies out there. It was very dense and I didn't like the fact that it had raw eggs in it. Also, I think any banana split pie needs a chocolate pie crust.. by the time you modify this recipe to be good, it wouldn't resemble the original at all.

No-Bake Mile-High Banana Split Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
Super Yum! I made one and it was hideous! But I made another so it would be beautiful AND delicious. I felt the rum+chocolate wasn't described well, so let me clarify, do not heat chocolate and add then spread! I'm not even going to use rum next time. I'll make due somehow. And be sure to get the big box of pudding! I don't care for the fruit or nuts either. So overall, I made a banana chocolate cream pie of some sort... But it was inspired by this recipe and it was delicious and still very much like a banana split the way I would make it.

Skillet Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
I needed something quick and usually suck at chicken and rice. I always make it too dry but this was delicious! I used real garlic and took out the broccoli. It turned out really good and was moist.
