Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2014
Very good and yes I made a few changes (just because of mine and my family's preferences). I added salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the chicken breasts first. Then I added (1) can of chicken broth instead of water and (2) can's of cream of chicken soup. Cooked on high the first hour then low for 5 hours, took the chicken out shredded it added it back in and dropped the biscuits in and cooked on high for another 1 1/2 - 2 hours. We all LOVED it. Thanks for the recipe idea!!!

Picnic Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2014
I am so surprised at the reviews on this one. I have been making this recipe for years and EVERYWHERE I bring it people always want the recipe. The only thing I do is omit the salt and pepper but everything else stays and it is fabulous!

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2014
Made this a couple months ago and again today. It is awesome! I used Ricotta Cheese (used the whole container) instead of Cottage Cheese just for personal preference. One thing that works much better though is mix up the parmesan and ricotta cheese's first then slowly mix in the shredded mozzarella. It just incorporates it all much better. I don't have an option to cook any less than 8 hours so I just make sure the cheese mixture and hamburger mixture touches all the noodles and I have no problems of it being too dry. Yummy recipe that my whole family loves!

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Because I have an almost 8 year old son the mushrooms or sage didn't go over well. He or my husband didn't like the sage in it so I think I will do without these 2 items next time. I usually use just ketchup on top but this mixture was different so I think next time I will use my 'old faithful' recipe with this topping.

Quick Taco Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
This is the recipe I use and it is delicious. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I ALWAYS add refried beans to mine and this makes it taste 100% better in my opinion. Also, as for the onion...I fry it up in the hamburger to "hide" it so my 7 year old will eat it and doesn't even know they're in there.

Chicken with Rice and Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
I'm always looking for different recipes that aren't fancy because my family has plain jane pallots and this was it. It wasn't boring just not spicey and overtaken by lots of herbs and spices. This was really good and I followed MexicoKaren's hint on the gravy technique and it was super. Could have used quite a bit more gravy though. My picky 7 year old even cleaned his plate and asked for more! This is a keeper for my family!

Easy Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
I don't like lemon so I omitted that and used extra virgin olive oil instead of vegetable oil. It was delicious, healthy and easy. Even my picky husband cleaned his plate! I will definitely make this again.
