Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
This was very good, nice combination of flavors. And easy too, not a ton of ingredients which I like. I made it as written except used reduced sodium soy sauce. I still found it to be very salty though. I am a salty food person and don't usually have that complaint when others do so next time I'll take the suggestion to just use the flakes from the dry onion soup mix. Overall though its a keeper.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
I made this last night - WOW, it was delicious! Based on other reviews I did use less spice, probably about 2/3 of what it called for. I also didn't have Chipotle Chili powder so I used a mix of regular chili powder and chipotle chili pepper seasoning. It's really quick and easy too, will definitely be making this again.

Kielbasa with Brussels Sprouts in Mustard Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
I made this last night and thought it was very good. I did follow other reviewers suggestion to increase the cream to 1/2 cup and found that to be the right amount. Also, I served the meal over egg noodles which I thought worked out well. The only thing I'd do differently next time is to skip the white beans. They were ok, I just didn't feel like they added much.

Spiced Pecans

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
I've made these the last 2 holiday seasons and they are always a big hit. You do have to watch them closely in the oven, they burn easily.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
This is now my standard bread pudding recipe. I do either the butterscotch with brown sugar or chocolate chips with white sugar. Excellent.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
I made this last night - very good. And even better second day! I did make a few adjustments just based on personal preferences. To supplement the vegetables I added celery and also spinach (frozen, at the very end). I also added a can of great northern white beans as I like white beans and sausage together. I also used canned diced tomatoes instead of the fresh. All in all a hearty and tasty soup - and very easy to make!

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This was good, nice flavor - but I agree with another reviewer; that it might be better with chicken. I followed the recipe almost exactly and found the pork tough. Next time I will try the many recommendations to sear then bake. The one modification I did make was to add kalamata olives since it had a greek feel with feta, tomatoes, balsamic etc. All in all though, a simple and quick meal with good flavor.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
I love these cookies! I made them again yesterday for a super bowl party and they were a hit with everone. I do add just a touch of cinnamon and also took a previous reviewer's suggestion to add both chocolate and butterscotch chips. They turn out perfectly every time.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
This is such a great base recipe. So much can be done with it and it still comes out really good! I make this soup often during the winter. I usually follow the suggestion of using 3 hot sausages and 2 mild ones but often times its just a matter of what I have in the house. You can throw additional veggies in, or extra beans - whatever your preference. I also like to put some rotini in at the end. This soup is impossible to screw up.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
These sandwiches are so good! I like salty food though so had no problem with the recipe as it was written. I did take the suggestion of brushing the rolls with olive oil and toasting them under the broiler. And as the final topper, a piece of melted provolone. So good.

Suzy's Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
These are very tasty. I used skim milk, low-fat butter and low-fat sour cream to try to make them a little healthier, and the flavor was still very good!
