Hot Cocoa Pudding Mugs

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
Made these tonight and they came out perfectly! I had to use plastic shot glasses, had a hard time getting them out at first even though I used Pam. I ended up making a small cut in the cup at the rim and pulled each side until there was a slit to the bottom of the cup. The cups released easily after that. They are just adorable and can't wait to make them again! :) Great taste and cute presentation. Thanks for sharing!

Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
This recipe was AMAZING! I have never made crepes before and really impressed my family with this delicious treat. I did add a teaspoon of vanilla, per suggestions from other reviewers. I used a teflon pan, reduced the servings to 2 and had enough for four crepes. I left the batter out for an hour prior to making, and sifted my flour and sugar into the mix. The batter was perfectly smooth, the crepes were delightfully light and even. I did place the crepes on a paper towel to blot excess oil as they seemed to really absorb the oil used when I brushed the pan. On next attempt, I will omit brushing the pan with oil. I used Nutella as a spread, placed frozen cool whip in the center, and topped them with powdered sugar, a bit more cool whip and sprinkled mini choc. chips on top. I also made one with apple butter instead of Nutella. Based on my family's reaction, will be making these a lot in the future. Thanks for a great recipe!! :)

Sooo delicious! I added a teaspoon of cinnamon and doubled the vanilla. I also used one saucepan and added everything all at once after the rice cooked. Turned out perfect.

Soft Onion Breadsticks

The presentation of these were beautiful. However, the taste was very bland. Would need to increase spices to make these taste as good as they look.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Made this for my son tonight, it is his favorite dish! I love this recipe and add cooked chicken for a little more substance. I cook the chicken in a frying pan with a little of the sauce poured over while cooking. Excellent recipe.

Vickie's Beer Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
I followed the advice of several reviewers and added 4 Tablespoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt due to using all-purpose flour. Used Miller Lite beer. Beautiful bread. Sliced right out of the oven, brushed with butter and added cheddar cheese for garlic toast. Love this recipe and will make it a lot!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
These are BEAUTIFUL cookies and taste as good as they look. I have been searching for the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe and this is it!! Heard rave reviews from my 5 year old and my fiance both! Good enough for me! :) I did make the following modifications as suggested by another reviewer named SVROSS: "Add 2 teasp. of baking powder, 1/2 teasp. salt and 2 TABLESPOONS (yes, you heard right) of VANILLA." I also smashed the balls of dough just a bit before baking as they do not spread very much. Feel free to place these cookies very close together on your cookie sheet to reduce the amount of time it takes to bake all the cookies. I also mixed the dough with a wooden spoon as suggested by another reviewer. I found these to be perfectly baked at 11 minutes in my oven.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
AMAZING. Rave reviews on this! I made the following changes: doubled the serving size, used a can of cream of celery soup, a pack of Lipton Onion soup mix, and omitted butter and added a can of corn and chopped baby carrots. Outstanding soup! Will make again.

Apple Danish

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
This is delicious. Followed to the tee except for the glaze. I adjusted milk to 1/2 a cup to make and brush it over the dough after baking. Creates a shiny, flavorful glaze without the heavy icing taste, which isn't a flaw of this recipe but personal taste. Beautiful presentation. Rave reviews. Will make this often!

Simple Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
EXCELLENT!! This was comparable to our favorite mexican restaurant's rice. The only change I made due to necessity (out of regular rice), used minute rice, instead and increased rice by 1 cup (making enough for 10 servings, btw). Turned out beautifully.

Banana-Chip Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
Oh my goodness! I am always on the lookout for a delightful muffin recipe and this is definitely going in my recipe box! I made the following modifications only out of necessity for lack of the ingredients called for: 1 small container of vanilla yogurt in place of applesauce, and I used 1 1/2 cups of mixed white chocolate and milk chocolate chips. WONDERFUL!!! Even my fiance' who generally doesn't care for muffins enjoyed these! I made both mini-muffins and regular muffins and both were absolutely delightful! Thanks for the recipe!

Best-Ever Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
The flavor of this meatloaf was OUTSTANDING! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the meatloaf didn't retain it's form very well and fell apart easily. I followed the recipe to the letter so I am not sure why this happened. But definitely a keeper!

Oatmeal Thumbprints

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
I made these cookies by omitting almond extract and used vanilla, instead. As for taste, these cookies are AMAZING. However they are extremely difficult to make. To make the indent, I sprayed the end of a wooden spoon and used that. Again, difficult to get an indent deep enough to hold jam and shallow enough to not leak through during baking. They are also very cake-like in texture which makes them difficult to store. I waited until they cooled completely, and tried to place them in an airtight container. The cookies began to stick, break, etc. I eventually placed parchment between the layers in a 9x13 in pan and that seemed to work, but is not ideal for storage. I love the taste but probably won't make these again.

Don't Chicken Out

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
I did, in fact, chicken out. The sauce was too much like pasta sauce for me to risk putting it on top of the chicken. I ended up making a different gravy to coat and bake. However, my son did try it with the chicken and he gave it two thumbs up. I tasted it and it was good but as a pasta sauce base or chili base. It needed a LOT of spicing up. Bland.

Stroganoff In A Bun

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
I gave this a rating of one star only because it was mandatory in order to rate this recipe. This recipe was an utter fail from start to finish. The mayo was overpowering and completely unnecessary. There was very little of this eaten
