Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
I only did 1/2 cup of sugar and it was plenty sweet. I constantly stirred this over medium low heat for 15-20 mins and it thickened fine. I used this mixture to make coconut macaroons.

Awesome Broccoli-Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
Delicious. But next time I would do a little less mayonnaise (like maybe 3/4 cup instead of a full cup) Its a little greasy.

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
Very good. I reduced this to 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 3/4th cup and it was plenty sweet. 1/4 cup is not enough coffee I used about 2 cups of expresso coffee didn't include any rum but nobody could tell. I froze it over night and defrosted it a few hours. It was still very good defrosted.

Barbarella's German Pancakes

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
These were way too thin. I couldn't even flip it over I had to add a lot more flour. Crepes are better.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
Perfect. This was wonderful keeper. I used broccoli instead of peas. Prebaked the crust 5-10 mins. Be sure to spray pan before putting crust on. I did a lattice crust on the top which made it very pretty. I did like a little more builon than was said to make it more flavorful.

Next time that I make these I'm not making them as thick when frying them. But otherwise, they turned out great.

Puff Pastry

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2012
I loved this. I used it for making toaster strudels. I used 3 and a half sticks of butter rather than 4 and it was plenty butter. I think next time I will try just 3 sticks.

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2012
Mild banana flavor very moist. Burns easily on stove needs to cook on low. And add extra spray/butter to the pan because the pancakes like to stick otherwise. I added tsp of vanilla didn't include the sugar.

It looked good but pretty bland. I wouldn't make this recipe again. My jewish boyfriend gave it a 7.5 out of 10.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
WAY too much cornstarch. I would of liked more broccoli in it as well. The amount of cornstarch ruined this soup. I couldn't eat it had to throw it out.

Veronica's Apple Pancakes

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
Moist and good pancake. It just didn't really have an apple flavor to me. Maybe applesauce would of been better.

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2012
Had to add couple tbs of soysauce and teriaki sauce to it inside filling. Also added onion I also added egg to the inside that made it slightly better. These are definitely better the next day because the cabbage is more flavorful.

Best in Show Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2012
Good. But the original is too sweet for me who has diabetes. I reduced sugar to 3/8ths for the cake part and to 1/4 cup for the berry part. I also used three cups of frozen berries (berry mix of blackberries, blue berries, and raspberries) instead of just 2 cups. The berry part came out watery. Maybe it was from using frozen berries? The whole thing still tasted good. Next time I won't put any water in the berry part.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
Couldn't ask for a better apple pie. I used salted butter as well as added dashes of salt and cinnamon. I also added some blackberries. Only complaint is that the pie was runny. Maybe I could of cooked it longer or do less sauce? I mixed half of the sauce with the apples and drizzled the remaining sauce on top. I did a crumb topping so I did 1/2 cup of sugar inside and 1/2 cup for the crumb top (mixed with flour cinnamon and butter). Next time I made this recipe I am going to try to do 1/4 less sugar

Delicious Pineapple Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2012
The cake itself so flavorless (even even I added pineapple like other reviewers) If I was to make this better I would mix brown sugar with the pineapple and butter on top like a pineapple upside down cake.
