Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
I had this last year at my sister in laws and at first thought the combination of strawberrys and salad sounded disgusting but after a little taste test I gobbled a bowl and more down!! I made it myself using a spring mix salad and left out the poppy seeds (as I didn't have any) and gosh was it SOOOOOOO YUMMY!!! My ENTIRE family LOVES this recipe!! Thanks so much!

Bob's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
My husband loves this recipe...he's making it again right now! He also substitues hot sausage for the clams (my sister doesn't like seafood) and it comes out GREAT! Highly recommend this recipe! Thanks so much!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
This has to be the best recipe for pork chops I've ever had. I'm usually at a loss for cooking them-usually everything tastes the same. But they came out tender, juicy and tasty-and way easy to make too. A HUGE hit in our house! Thanks so much!

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
This recipe is VERY good and I can't get over how EASY it is to make! Even my husband LOVES it and he can't get enough of it-keeps asking for me to make it again! I did add more milk then called for and it was still thick enough but made the recipe go allot further like others suggested. It's so easy that I'm even making it on Christmas morning-and I HATE cooking breakfast, especially on busy mornings!! Thank you so VERY much!

Quick Creamy Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
This is a pretty good base recipe but you definately need to add a little to it for flavor. I evenly divided the milk with half and half, used one cup water and one can of chicken broth (instead of all water to cover the potatos), instead of two cans of cream of chicken soup I used one cream of chicken and one cream of celery, added allot of pepper and salt, and added about 3 tablespoons of salted butter and I mixed the crumbled bacon throughout. Now I'm relaxing on my couch enjoying a nice bowl of hot soup with oyster crackers (OK, so my sodium and fat intake is going thru the roof but it is yummy on a cool fall day!!).

Brandied Shrimp with Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
My husband and I LOVED this recipe and my 10 year old thought it was pretty cool seeing the pan on fire from the lit brandy too!!! I will definately make this one again. It was SO easy but I do agree with another reviewer-chop all ingredients ahead of time. This recipe cooks fast-the longest wait is for the noodles to cook! Thank you so much for submitting this!

New England Clam Chowder II

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
I think this recipe is VERY good. I used the heavy cream and also added a bit of Rosemary and a 1/4 stick of salted butter. I also crumbled the bacon and added that in at the same time I added the clams. My husband liked it too but wanted it a little thicker so I think next time I'll double the amount of flour. It was so rich and flavorful, thank you so much!

Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2005
This was a great stir fry recipe. I used frozen stir fry vegetables and it was a great shortcut. Will definately make again! Thanks so much Teresa!

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2004
My husband really liked this recipe and even commented on it later in the night. The gravy is very tasty, my daughter and I really enjoyed it over white rice. I'm not a big fan of chops but will certainly make this again. It's easy to make with few ingredients and still comes out tasty-great for weeknight cooking. Thanks Jennifer!

Garlic Creamed Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2004
My husband and I loved this recipe. Unfortunately I didn't have fresh garlic so I had to use garlic powder and I substituted cream of chicken soup. I cooked it with a side of long grain rice and it was just incredible. Definately a keeper! Thanks so much Tami!

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2004
I tasted this about 2 hours into cooking and it was sooooo bland. I added some rosemary, thyme, white wine, salt, pepper and curry to this. The flavor came out great but the rice was so mushy my husband was disgusted with it. I think I'll play around with this recipe and these ingredients and just not add the rice. I also served it with biscuits and I think if the rice hadn't been in it we would have really enjoyed it. This recipe is not a keeper for my family as it is originally written.

White Cake Frosting I

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2004
This frosting is FANTASTIC! It was simple to make and fast too! It beat up so smooth and creamy I couldn't believe I made it!! I didn't have butter flavoring so I substituted 1/3 butter with only 2/3 shortening and it still came out delicious! It's a dangerous recipe though because I could eat an entire cake with this frosting on it! Not too sweet either. I received only complements on it and will most definately make it again! Thanks so much Amy!

London Broil I

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2004
My family and I were not impressed with this recipe. I can't put my finger on what it was exactly but we just didn't care for the overall taste of the marinade. Although, I have to say, our three year old enjoyed it very much and ate it up like nothing else!! Needless to say, I won't be making this one again.

Quick Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2004
My whole family LOVED this recipe. I did change/add a couple of things: I substituted Cream of Brocolli Soup for the Cream of Mushroom and added about 1/2tsp. curry powder for extra flavor! LOVED IT!! Will definately make it again and again!

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2004
I cooked this as described only substituting 6 table spoons lemon juice as one subscriber suggested. No one in my family was overly impressed with it as we all felt it lacked flavor/taste. The meat was very juicy; however we won't be trying this one again.

Brown Sugar Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2004
This recipe was easy and tasty too! The chops were moist and the juice was very flavorful. At 45 minutes when I removed the foil cover, I also removed about 2/3 the juice and they brown beautifully. The reserve juice was then poured over top of each chop. My husband is very picky and was very impressed with them. Great for a last minute dinner!!

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2004
These ribs were absolutely delicious!! The only thing I did differently was subbing 1/2 c. BBQ sauce for 1/2 c. ketchup and I left out the oregano. It is the only way I'll do my ribs now other than the grill in summertime!
