Caramelized French Toast

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
Easy to make for a quick breakfast. My wife made some fresh homemade bread last night and this proved good use for one loaf. This is very rich tasting. I added a little more butter to help the brown sugar with melting, not sure I did it perfectly. I was waiting for the caramel color...it just gets a dark brown when it is done. The family loved this, and my kids are picky eaters when it comes to new meals. It's a keeper!

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
These turned out great. I liked putting them in just a litte shorter to get them nice and chewy. The only mistake I made was in making half a batch the first time, now I'm making another full batch!!!

French Toast Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
These waffles turned out just right, nothing fantabulous, but very good. It makes a small batch so I doubled the recipe and changed it just a bit. I made it with Bisquick, adding 2 Tblsp. of oil and I only used 3 eggs. I also added 1/2 tsp. nutmeg to give just a bit more flavor. I would definitely make them again.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2004
Took this to a Christmas party and everyone just loved it. Didn't have mini chips so I chopped up regular chips and was left with a powdery mess, but, this chocolate powder made the perfect coating with chopped almonds to roll the ball in. Definitely making this one again and again!

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
Wow! I need to make more Amish friends! This caramel corn definitely disappears quickly it was so good. Be sure to check the oven temp and time because after 45 minutes the batch started cooking a little too dark. Besides, you get to eat it 15 minutes sooner too! Enjoy!

Pumpkin Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
Made this after carving out the halloween pumpkin and wanted a creative, new recipe for pumkin bread. This was great!!! Used the real stuff instead of canned pumpkin and it turned out perfectly moist and fluffy! Definitely keep this one on file for the holidays!!!

Honey Smoked Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2003
This made for an incredible Thanksgiving turkey! I used less salt because I used a brine to soak the turkey in for days before cooking. Its a new Thanksgiving tradition for our family!
