About this Cook
I am a 21 year old who currently resides in Canada. I love many things but cooking is probably number one or two on that list. I am passionate about what I love and I put a lot of attention and care into my cooking. I do a lot of experimental cooking where I sort of do what I think will turn out good. If it does, great. If not, there is always room for improvement. I am an animal lover as and a huge environmentalist. I adore music and art as I write and draw religiously.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking a wide variety of different foods. This ranges from eggs and toast to a roasted chicken in the oven with my own season rub. It depends on my mood and energy level, really. I do like cooking Italian food because in my opinion, it has the greatest array of seasonings. Next in line would be German food - Excellent flavor and hearty and rich.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have many of these. Though, growing up and watching my parents cook, I suppose I developed some of their methods of preparing food. My father, for example, was a very fast cook. He threw things together with such ease and quickness, I didn't think what he was making would be edible. It always turned out wonderful though. My mother is a very careful and experimental cook. I've adapted her cooking style more than anything.
My cooking triumphs
Oh, I don't really know where to begin on this one. I guess winning multiple times in cooking contests in school always made my spirits pretty high. My sushi won in 11th grade and my beef stew with a bread bowl won in 8th grade.
My cooking tragedies
We all make mistakes. I don't consider them tragedies, just learning experiences.
