Well the chicken & dumpling recipe I made last night was NOT good. The biscuts in it were awful, plus they took an additional hr to cook all the way through even on a high setting. Totally not a recipe I will be using again. Due to the extra time and the yuckyness factor. I don't want to… MORE

About this Cook
30 something mom of three, wife of one. The husband and I are tired of eating out and paying for bad food, so I am on a mission to loose weight and cook wholesome meals. All this with working full time and three girls in more after school activites than I can write. Wish me luck, I NEED IT!

Spiced Applesauce Bread
I made thie recipe EXACTLY as written: Husband and I liked this bread. Howerver if you are looking for a kid friendly Applesauce bread, this is not the recipe. It is NOT sweet...........AT ALL. My kids ate one slice right out of the oven and that was it. The blueberry bread I made last week was a bigger hit. (5 members of the family I rate on how many people actually liked a dish.)

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup
I made this soup EXACTLY as the recipe states: I've been eating a cup of this soup everyday this week for lunch and it is very good. The only difference I would make is to use heavy cream instead of half and half if you like your cream based soup a bit more on the heavy side.

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze
This was a total hit at my house last night! All three of the kids ate it and asked for more. If there are a lot of people in your household double the recipe!
