Stuffed Mexican Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2013
This was AMAZING. I followed the recipe as written, except I put the peppers in the microwave instead of steaming and they turned out perfect and the texture was just right. There was a lot of extra meat sauce that we enjoyed later with tortilla chips. But you could easily freeze this and use again, the possibilities are endless. Very tasty all on it's own. I will definitely be making this for my next dinner party.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2014
I just tried this recipe and I've decided it is my new go to marinade. This is awesome and would go perfect with a Ceasar salad and garlic bread. The only thing I did different was the mustard I didn't have the mustard it called for so I used prepared yellow mustard 3 tbsp and 1 tsp of dry ground mustard. Beautiful!!! Plus my husband is an amazing barbecuer.

Garlic Lover's Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
This recipe is amazing. The smell of it cooking is to die for. I followed the recipe pretty close, but I didn't have 14 cloves of garlic so I used what I had which was about 10. I melted the margine in a saucepan over the stove with the garlic, then I added the lemon juice. Next time I would omit the second amount of salt, I don't think it needs it as it is very flavourful with just the garlic. You don't need 1/4 cup of olive oil, I used just enough to coat each breast. Definitely will be making this again. Thanks for a great recipe.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
I finally had a chance to make this recipe and it was worth the wait. My whole family said "it's a keeper". This was so creamy with lots of chunks of potatoe and ham; usually potato soup is so thick but this was a perfect texture. I think the trick is in step 2, do not skip or try to rush this step. I made just a few adjustments. I used chicken broth instead of the bouillon because its less salty, about 3 1/2 cups and added 1 cup of water as well. I wait until just before I added the milk mixture before adding salt and pepper and after tasting it decided it didn't need any salt and added a little bit of cracked pepper. This was perfect for a cold winter day.

Beef Enchiladas with Spicy Red Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
I made this last night for me and my hubby and we loved it. I don't know why people are saying it's sweet, we thought the spices were perfect. The only things I did different is I make my own corn tortillas and I used pico de gallo instead of the salsa. It must make a difference on what kind of salsa you are using, the bought stuff can be very sweet sometimes, maybe just read the ingredient list to see how much sugar is in it or just make your own its way better anyways. Loved it, it's a keeper.

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2013
Very yummy and easy to make. I followed the recipe, but only marinated all day. The chicken was very tender and the flavor of the veggies were delicious.

General Tsao's Chicken II

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
I love this recipe, the flavors are delicious together. The only thing I did differently was I used chicken breast and I pan fried using only enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan. Not sure why we needed to fry twice but did it anyway, and was surprised that the chicken was cooked perfectly. I will definitely make this again and again. I might try it with less sugar next time just to see how it tastes because it seemed very filling.

The flavors go beautifully together and the smells coming out of the kitchen were amazing. The only thing I did different was made more sauce for the linguine. Definitely a keeper.

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
This is by far the best homemade Caesar salad ever. I followed the instructions to a T except I left out the anchovies because of allergies. I served this at a family party and everyone asked for the recipe. They all LOVED it. I wouldn't change a thing and will definitely be making it again.

Mom's Best Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: May 19, 2014
This was awesome. There wasn't a single bit left. I'm glad I read the reviews, I didn't add the extra sugar as others mentioned and it was perfect. Everyone wanted to know what was in it. My father in law said it was the best macaroni salad he ever tasted. Will definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Excellent soup. Very hearty meal for a cold winter day. I didn't add the bacon to the soup until the very end and I didn't use any herbs other then a little salt and pepper. I mashed the potatoes right in the pot, but would have preferred the soup to be a little bit more liquidy. Everyone in the family loved it. Thanks for an awesome soup that I will definitely make again.

These were really good. I followed the recipe, but I think next time I will add some cheese on top of the chicken before rolling. I also made my own tortillas. I will definately make this again. Thanks Olga.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
Made these last night and followed the recipe as written except I did as some other reviewers and made a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice and oregano to baste chicken with. Turned out great. Not sure I would have liked it as much without the basting mixture, I think it may have been dry without.

Authentic Mexican Tortillas

These tasted like lard. I use Maseca (corn masa flour) and they taste very authentic.
