Quiche (Southern Egg Pie)

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2003
Absolutely wonderful! I made this for quite a picky family and everyone raved about it. I did not have the evaporated milk so I used heavy cream instead. The ranch dressing gave it a very zesty superb taste. Thanks! (Even my picky two-year old ate it)

Savory Crescent Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2005
MMM... I did tweak it a little. Used leftover marinated chicken (1/4c oil, 2 T. lemon juice, 1/4c soy sauce, 2 T. grated onion, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tsp. salt, 1 t. celery salt...very good! the longer you marinade the better!) I added to the mixture 1/2 cup finely shredded chedder cheese, 1 clove garlic and used 4 oz. cream cheese instead of 3. I had enough mixture for 2 pkgs. 8 oz. crescent rolls. For 8 servings.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2005
These were great as muffin tops! Instead of pouring them into muffin pans, put them on a cookie sheet like a cookie. I used my stones and made 12 of them. They were superb! Don't forget the crumb topping!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
Fantastic, I used 6 heath bars and crushed them, put about three in the middle over the whipped topping and then the other 3 over the top. Everyone loved this! brought to a family reunion and should have tripled it! It was gone in 5 minutes!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
Wonderful! I made this last Thanksgiving and it was a big hit! I did not use the liver either and used dried cherries instead of the cranberries. I also made in a crock pot instead of the turkey (I wasn't preparing the turkey) and it turned out great...I think I added about 1/2-3/4 cup more of the turkey stock though. Enjoy!

Frosted Cereal Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
These were so good! I was looking for something that resembled Crispy treats with a chocolate frosting on top but without peanut butter because my husband and daughter are allergic. I did everything exactly the same excluding the peanut butter. I am sure these would be even better with it but had to make something so I would notend up eating them all!! My extended family just raved about these. Thank-you!

Mall Pretzels

Bread Machine Version - Just add dough ingrediants to machine and select dough cycle. They turn out perfect!! Some things I noticed: 1) Recipe made more than 12, more like 20. 2) Roll dough thin!! They will rise to almost double when baking 3)Do not add flour while rolling thin, it is better when dough sticks a little to counter while rolling (makes it easier to make thin ropes). 4) I used my baking stones with no parchment paper or oil and had no problems with them sticking. 5) We dip these in butter and then in a cinnamon/sugar mixture. They are delicious just dipped in the butter too! 6) These are absolutely wonderful, I have no idea how long they keep, because we never have them longer than a day!!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
Fabulous, as is! But I now make this super healthy for a very picky daughter. I use all whole wheat flour and coconut oil instead of butter. I have no problems with butter, as that is a healthy fat. But coconut oil has so many huge health benefits, that this is a great way to sneak in something that is so good for you!! I substitute honey for the sugar and only use half of what the recipe calls for. I figure there is a lot of sweetness in maple syrup that it does not need this much in the actual pancake. I also add a green powder loaded with great things. It does make the batter green-tinged, but after cooking the pancakes on the griddle it is not green anymore. :-) Thanks so much for this great recipe!!

Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
LOVE this soup. We have made this many, many times. I usually have to double it though. Use twice as much ground beef than what is called for.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
Very good bread! I made my own modifications to make it much better for you. But still incredibly good! I use honey in place of the sugar, coconut oil in place of the vegetable oil and white winter wheat flour (looks like white flour but it is wheat. Same nutritional value as wheat...so good. Try it!)

Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2013
These are sooo good!! I loved the crust. The first time I made them, I went to find a graham cracker crust and then just used the filling of this recipe. The crust is my favorite part! Oops, one change we did have to make to the crust was substituting almonds for walnuts as my husband is allergic to walnuts. I loved this recipe so much that I made some changes to make a key lime version. I tripled the crust for a bar pan. For the filling a quadrupled it for the bar pan. I omitted the lemon juice. I took three limes, zested and finely chopped the skin and juiced them. I also omitted the milk since I wanted a stronger lime flavor and used the juice of the lime in place of it. SOOO good! Thank-you so much for this recipe. I am excited to try some other versions. White chocolate-raspberry next?

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2013
Everyone loves this!! We make it all the time and people request it. I have made this too many times to count. I make a homemade ranch (because any version off the shelf has MSG in it) and have used cooked chicken breasts if I was out of canned. We always serve with tortilla chips.
