Pakistani Meatballs with Gravy (Koftay)

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2005
This recipe didn't come out especially well for me. After 30 minutes of cooking on low, the meatballs were still raw, the gravy was still very watery, and the lentils were still hard as rocks. I had to turn the heat up to medium and boil for an additional 30 minutes. The lentils were still hard, but at that point all the liquid was gone, so I just gave up and served it as it was. The flavor of the meatballs was okay, and the dish was edible, but not good by any means. Perhaps with some tweaking it could be improved.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: May 4, 2004
This was a very easy and delicious recipe. I used country style boneless ribs and they turned out great. I didn't change the sauce and it was wonderful, though next time I will try the suggestion many users gave to substitute bbq sauce for 1 cup of the ketchup. Will definitely make this again!

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2004
I made this for Easter and it was wonderful! I was nervous because I had never cooked lamb before, but it came out beautifully. I did follow some of the other reviewers' advice and modified the recipe slightly. I added two cups of water to the pan, put a foil tent over the lamb for the first 20 minutes, and lowered the temperature to 350 instead of 400 after the first twenty minutes. I accidentally cooked it to 155 degrees instead of 130 and thought I had overcooked it, but it was perfect. We made the leftovers into lamb pitas the next day, which was also delicious. This will be our new traditional Easter dish!

Lemon Lush

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2004
This is the best dessert recipe I have ever made! I made it for Easter dinner and everyone raved. People were asking for leftovers two days later (but it was long gone)! It was so easy and the payoff is huge. This will be a holiday staple in my house from now on.

Aimee's Quick Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2003
We did not like this recipe. It was WAY too salty. Even my husband who doesn't mind a lot of salt thought it was terrible. I took one bite and couldn't eat any more. After scraping all the toppings off we were able to at least save the chicken, but when my husband can't even choke it down, it has to be bad.

Baked Lemon Chicken with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2003
This was so good! The mushroom sauce was unbelievable! We used it as a sauce for rice as well as the chicken and it was wonderful. The sauce would be great on beef as well. The chicken was a little too lemony for me, so next time I will use the sauce on seasoned baked chicken instead.

Spicy Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2003
I love spicy food, so I thought this was great, however it was way too spicy for my husband. I would definitely make it again for myself.

Chicken a la Camille

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2003
I love this recipe! It was SO easy and very tasty. I didn't measure the Italian seasoning, I just rubbed it on until it looked like enough for me. I will be making this one a lot!

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2003
This marinade is awesome! It makes the chicken very moist and flavorful. I used low sodium soy sauce and it was perfect. It definitely would've been too salty for me if I'd used regular soy sauce. I cooked the chicken on my George Foreman and it worked great. I made extra sauce and added cornstarch to thicken, and served the chicken and sauce in rice bowls with broccoli. My husband loved it! I will definitely make this again.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2003
This is a great recipe! My husband declared that we can "add it to the rotation". It had a perfect balance of honey and mustard. Very easy to make! The only things I will do differently next time will be to marinade the chicken in the sauce for awhile to intensify the flavor, and make extra sauce. We put the sauce on baked red potatoes and it was wonderful!
