Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
I hate to be one of those people that changes somebody else's recipe around and then reviews but I am admittedly,a very picky cook and Buffalo Wings have been a favorite of mine since childhood so it is only natural for me to try,try and try again until it comes out perfect.I mean, literally, these Buffalo Wings are perfect and a favorite of my family. If you want authentic Buffalo Wings I strongly recommend that you follow Chef John's Buffalo Wing Sauce recipe right here on Allrecipes.com BUT follow the first part of this recipe where you coat and bake the wings. The combination of the two great recipes will produce delicious, authentic tasting Buffalo Wings right in your own kitchen. I lay down several sheets of paper towels and layer the wings, batch at a time on top and then press down on the wings with more paper towels to get them as dry as possible before coating in the flower mix. I also prep them several hours(4-6) before baking time so that they can rest in the fridge a bit. Make sure you are generous when spraying your foil lined sheet pan(s) with cooking spray as they have a tendency to stick if you don't. Turning them after 24 minutes is very important so make sure that you set your timer. They are crispy every time.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
Awesome recipe just as it is.This is the kind of cornbread I grew up eating being from New England and I think this is the best way to eat it.My family is now addicted since I've started making this.It is dense and heavy with the perfect moisture level and sweetness.

Stuffed Eggplant

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
This recipe calls for way too much bread crumbs, olive oil isn't necessary for sauteing sausage and this was too dry most likely on account of the amount of bread crumbs. My family and I love Eggplant Parm but this just didn't taste right, none of us enjoyed it.

Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
This recipe is the best I have ever found online, anywhere for anything! It is really that good!Ever since I was a kid,I have LOVED buffalo wings and there was a local restaurant that made awesome ones that I always got.Now that I am all grown up,I have been searching for the perfect wing recipe.I must say that I use another baked buffalo wing recipe that is on this site as my first step in baking the wings but I use Chef John's sauce recipe instead at the end and oh my goodness, pure heaven. My hubby and I love these with chunky blue cheese dressing.

Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Sweet Peppers

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2012
We are big Sweet Italian Sausage people,as unhealthy as it is,we still love it!This recipe is a nice change from a red sauce and my hubby really enjoys this.I use red, green and yellow peppers, they add such nice color and also chopped onion.I have to feed this to 5 big pasta fans so I use 2 whole packs of sausage and about 1 1/2 cups of beef broth. We like it with bow tie pasta and a green salad.I cook my sausage in a different pan than my veggies then I add them together at the end.The veggies maintain their shape and texture this way in my opinion and it's a little less greasy.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
Absolutely the best Beef Stroganoff I have ever eaten .When I prepared it for the first time I didn't have the recipe to refer to because there was an internet outage that day so a friend read the ingredients off for me over the phone!I didn't know that the wine went in w/ the mushrooms+sour cream at the end so I simmered it w/ the wine and it came out delish! Also, because I have to make a larger batch to feed my family,I would never be able to push the meat to one side so instead I removed it w/ a slotted spoon into my simmering pan then made the gravy in the first pan=)
